    Do you believe in....MONSTERS?

Okay, My "Do you believe in....GHOSTS" thread has been quite successful so I wanted to try to make a new thread somewhat similar to it. Does anyone here believe in monsters? I personally do not but hey they make for good stories. If you believe in monsters, please tell us your stories or why you believe in them.

Lochness has had all of it's photos and videos de-bunked
Bigfoot is said to be a man in an apes costume.
Chupacabra? I found a recent article lately saying that a mysterious creature was captured that may be sucking blood out of farm animals at night...here is the link to the article:
    http://www.nbc5i.com/news/4895017/detail.html
Now after reading the article on NBC's website, I am curios as to wether the Chupacabra really exists.

    You be the judge.

Here is what NBC5i.com's Chupacabra article stated that the animal that was trapped by a farmer looked like a hairless dog, a rat and a kangaroo all combined into one body.

No one has any stories on why they think the creatures do or do not exist?

Um..uh..I believe in some of them...

Sasquatch, Yeti, Nessie, chupacabras, and gnomes.

Hey, they haven't exactly been proven to exist, but they haven't been proven not to exist, either.

    Re: Do you believe in....MONSTERS?

I just like saying "La Chupacabra" outloud. Oooh say it again...la chupacabra la chupacabra la chupacabra.

And who really knows about these legendary "monsters," they could have existed at one point in a less "exotic" form. (Like Dinosaur bones being mistaken for Dragons) And we still have so much more to learn and discover, so I have an open mind. Science has not explained everything yet, and has no problem saying "we just don't know." I like to gather as much information as I can before making a decision. Some of the "proof" that is presented is obvious bunk, but I hope one day we can prove/disprove more of these legends. In the meantime, they make good stories!

I do believe in real monsters, but those monsters are my fellow Home sapiens (allegedly) here on Earth.

Just remember without a well written Disney Villain, there would be no point in the Heroes and the Princesses. Have you hugged a Disney Villain today?

I believe in ghosts. Monsters are a different story. I do believe that some of them may exist, but with all the fakes it is hard to say. I like to believe that there are yetis and sea creatures. It just makes the world a more fun place.

    Re: Do you believe in....MONSTERS?

I have an open mind about it. Not enough scientific evidence to prove they exist, yet nothing to prove they don't exist either. I definitely believe that sometimes people can be monsters. Or, perhaps more accurately, behave like monsters.

    Re: Do you believe in....MONSTERS?

I used to think--if there were Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) there would be something left behind, like a carcass or a skeleton, even if they buried their dead. It wasn't until one of my kids pointed out, while camping, "how come we never see a dead bear carcass or bones?"

    Good question.

Made me rethink the idea that maybe there is something like a Bigfoot out there.

In other words, I'm openminded. I think it would be very interesting when they find something.

Um... very astute thinking of your offspring there!! I'd never thought of it that way either. Good point.

I like to think I'm open minded. I think there may still be stuff out there we have yet to discover or see. Maybe not true monsters as such but you never know.
