Oh Yes. She is a Great one. She Went to UC Santa Barbara, sleeping her way to her degree. When she started Teaching she did so in a rather poor neighborhood where she was nearly fired after saying to a Young Black Mother How much she would Love to have a little black baby, "they are so cute, they look like little monkeys"
She now teaches here in WC in a wealthy area. Every year she tells me she can tell the Good Kids from the "Dummies" from the first day. And the "Dummies' go straight to the back, so she doesn't have to deal with them.
OMG!!! I can assure you that, with that attitude, she won't be teaching for very long. She is responsible for the education of the kids in her class. And if they don't aquire the knowledge they need in 1st grade, she will be held accountable. I wonder what her principal would think if s/he knew about her attitude!
We lived in Walnut Creek for 3 years. We are not wealthy. We are not racist or bigots. I didn't teach in the Walnut Creek district. I taught in Pittsburg/Bay Point. There are bad apples no matter where you go. It's really unfortunate that people who have so much can care so little.
"George Bush... is only for now."
Just because it's gone doesn't mean I changed my mind!
I am sorry pan I will pray for her,
to have a more loving heart, and a compassion to give and to give thru love. Do not be upset, you can not change her, but you can be a beacon of light for her and those like her. Sounds like you are already a light shining thru
