News just came in that Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist has passed away in his Virginia home saturday morning.

May he rest in peace.

The news article I read on yahoo said that it is highly unlikely either Scalia or Thomas would be made Chief Justice. Let's pray that the article is correct. Both men make uber-conservative, insensitive, illogical decisions without any respect for human compassion or judicial ethics.

My Fears Exactly. But betwen Bush and Republican Congress, dont be surprised. The GOP is already calling for Scalia to be made cheif. It is AMAZING to me that the right says that "Activist" Judges should not write new laws from the bench, Unless of course it's a Right Wing "Activist" Juudge, then Write Away!

With these recent Changes we are now almost sure to see the overturning of Roe V. Wade. and if you are gay, you will be very, very old, if you are Ever allowed to marry.

And to those who support the overturning of Roe V. Wade, it wont make abortion Illegal, just hand it over to the states to decide. This will solve NOTHING, and only cause this nation to devide further. Only Education will decrease the ammount of unwanted Pregnancy and Abortion, but then, the Christian Right doesnt want Sex Ed taught either.....will the insanity ever end?

Not all of us. There are many churches and schools that host incredibly well-taught Sex Ed classes.

I think the problem is that some christians are way too afraid to talk about sex, especially with their kids. This ends up leaving kids taught by the media, their friends, and pop culture in general.
