 | We Won the MiceChat Dream Suite! There are events in one's life that are watermarks. They come in all shapes and sizes, and usually arrive unexpectedly. Regardless, they are all defining moments, which you know will live in your heart forever. Friendships that make an enormous difference in your life from that point forward. Kindnesses that are so grand, they overwhelm you. Nearly three and one-half decades ago, Rick and I became a couple. To say that was a defining moment would be an understatement. A couple of years ago, we met up with MiceChat. We had the good fortune to be locals, so we soon started attending meets and making friends. In time, you have all become family, and have brought so much joy to our lives. A few months ago, we found that we would finally be able to marry. Of course, one of the first things we did, was to share our news with our MiceChat family. Your responses were overwhelming, and so very appreciated. Little did we know that announcement would result in another of those special life moments for us. It seems that for a couple of months, a group of chatters had been planning a surprise that would blow us away. What they decided would be an amazing wedding gift, would be to give us a honeymoon in the place both of us love so much, Disneyland. How they managed to organize all this, without a hint of it reaching us, is beyond comprehension. At the Saturday Hub Meet, Mandy, Snow_White_Raven, pulled us over to a place just under Uncle Walt, and presented us with the gift, a weekend at the Paradise Pier Hotel, in a top floor suite, with concierge services. We were nearly speechless. We were just flat overwhelmed. To all of you who took part in this extraordinary expression of just how special this place we call home is, Thank You! To all the MiceChatters who have embraced us and made our lives better over the years through your love and acceptance, Thank You! And, to Mandy, who worked untold hours organizing, reminding, and, literally physically putting together some of the surprises . . . bless your heart, sweet lady. We will never, ever forget our special time at the Happiest Place on Earth.  A few photos follow, but please know that they don't begin to do justice to the just how big, and nicely appointed our suite was. Nor can photos tell the tale of how exciting it is to enter your room and find that there has been yet another surprise added to our already abundant gifts. Or what is about to be delivered when you hear a knock at the door. On with the tour . . . Our living room.  Our dining room.  The game area.  How much might these go for on eBay? The concierge lounge was wonderful. Beer, wine, shrimp, fruits, cheeses . . . everything you could possibly want, and even cupcakes, some fans would kill to have.  We had 4 very large picture windows and this was our view in the daytime.  Segway riders touring before DCA opened for the day.  DCA at night. We couldn't hear a peep from the park in our room.  Now for a little romance. When we arrived, our bed was covered in white rose petals. When we returned later that night, Red petals had been added to form this.  Each night there was a greeting near our pillows.  We would be remiss if we didn't mention how wonderful the hotel service was. We arrived to find a bottle of champagne in our refrigerator, and two beautiful flutes to drink from. Our first evening there, a large plate of chocolate covered strawberries were delivered, and moments later, the hotel manager stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking and to confirm the strawberry delivery had been made. The concierge staff was friendly, and made sure our wine was kept full. Most of all, thank you MiceChat, for being quite an extraordinary corner of the internet universe, where friendships, and memories like these are fostered. Rick and Lu
