Re: So maybe MC can answer this for me.

I'm at home most Saturday nights too. Sometimes I go out to BWW to watch come college football and play trivia... if the BF's band is playing (which is rare these days), I might go see them. Usually the BF is over here and we watch TV or whatever.

Nothing wrong with being a homebody sometimes.

Your work hours sound like you work at Starbucks? Am I right? Anyways there really is nothing wrong with spending time alone on a Saturday night. Not everybody has plans every night on the weekend. I like to be a homebody a lot and just watch a good movie rather than spend a bunch of money going out to eat and to the bars/clubs.

I live an hour and a half away also, but in the opposite direction and if you think there is nothing to do where you live try the Antelope Valley.

I sit home every Saturday night, but I'm not alone. I have my two dogs, my cat...oh, and my bf is here, but we're usually on opposite ends of the house. He's playing some battlefield game online and i'm here.

That sounds like how it was with me and my ex. Sounds like you either need to get him to do stuff with you or start shopping for a new BF.

nah, we're both pretty much a like. We need a lot of alone time. We had dinner together. He came in and I showed him the live puppy feed, but we both like to spend time alone. After 14 years we pretty much know each other he knows I've been at work all day around people and now I want some me time. I know he loves to play his online game...so it works out...

Bakery. Learning to make pastries and desserts so I can have those chocoholic females worshiping me. \o/

I agree, there is a lot of stuff to do at home. I like to go places but nothing beats staying home, putting on some good music and just vegging out. Here are some suggestions for future reference.

1. Solitaire
2. Read a book.
3. Rent your favorite TV series/movie series and settle in for a marathon.
4. Surf the internet/play and online game.
5. (If your feeling ambitious) Rearrange your room, a fresh start is sometimes refreshing.

Re: So maybe MC can answer this for me.

I love having the house alone on a Saturday night. I sit and write with a bad Disney Channel or ABC Family movie on. Chocolate cake with the alphasmart is like the best combo ever.

Hope you found something to do. If anything you can go to a coffee house and people watch. That's really fun. Or take yourself on a date (that might be more of a girl thing...).

Totally agreed. Even with our Wine Tasting adventure and dinner on Saturday, we were still home by 6:00pm. We just vegged on the couch watched a couple of movies and it was AWESOME.

I'm all for keeping costs down but I like to be out doing something. I haven't sat and watched TV in years. If I go see a movie in theaters I fidget the entire time.

Oh, I just realized something else. This week I will be off work on Saturday by 9 again and have Sunday off.

Well if you want something to do during the day, there are a lot of options for free or cheaply that you can do.

1. Go to a state park, take a hike. (Not in a rude way. )
2. Go to the library and find a cozy corner with a funny book, I like the Garfield compendiums myself.
3. Go to some local museums (some here are free)
4. Go to the aquarium or zoo, we have some small local ones here that cost around $5 a person.
5. Grab a camera and start taking photos of obscure things that no one would consider a good pic.

1. I don't do the skating thing. I'll ice skate but only because I have some skill at it while most others are still falling down. Anyone want to go?

2. Reading a book isn't such a bad idea, although it kind of relates to the movie theater idea. I can't sit still for very long without fidgeting.

3. There's the surf rider museum in Oceanside, although I'm not really down with surfing. I can check my "Things to do in San Diego" book for other museums.

4. We have a very small aquarium so meh. Zoo is ~$32 a person and I'm trying to keep costs down.

5. That's called a trip report.

I do thank you for your suggestions.

/me consults his Things to do in San Diego book
