![]() | Nov 11: Lest We Forget 90 years ago today at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, WWI came to an end. Armistice Day was started the following year to remember those that lost their lives during this great conflict, which unfortunately was not the last. On this Remembrance Day and Veterans Day please take time to remember those soldiers that lost their lives in WWI and conflicts since then, and take time to thank those veterans that are still with us today, and the soldiers that are currently serving. I would like to say thank you to all veterans, and soldiers currently enlisted. ![]() For those in Canada, don't forget to wear your poppy.

| "Snoring In" 2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Nov 11: Lest We Forget My Grandpa Rex was 3 months old at the end of WWI - or as it was known then as "The Great War" (there wasn't s second WW so there was no way to call it WWI, ya see?) Grandpa would later enlist in the United States Army in December 1939 and would go on to serve our Country in World War 2 - going as far as training to be a pilot - he was honorably discharged in 1944 due to hearing loss. Grandpa died December 3, 2000... My Grandmother, Virginia - his widow - while not in the service, worked in Army Hospitals in Missouri during the WW2 - and her brothers, my great uncles, served in the military. Grandma Ginny died June 5, 2002. It's because of our Veterans that we have our Freedom. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa and every other Veteran out there!
