Starbucks Partners With (RED)

Whether you have heard about the new partnership and don't know what it is, or you haven't heard about it all... I am here to inform you about a simply amazing cause.

(RED) is an organization that raises money through partnerships with big-name companies, such as Gap, Apple, Emporio Armani, and now Starbucks, to finance HIV Health and community support programs in Africa, with a focus on women and children.

With this new Starbucks partnership, every time you purchase a holiday beverage, no matter the size, Starbucks is donating five cents to the Global Fund, otherwise known as (RED). Five cents may not sound like much at first, but considering that the vaccination that will keep an unborn baby from contracting HIV/AIDS from its mother, costs only thirty cents... That five cents will go a LONG way.

Holiday beverages are only here until January 2nd, so I urge you to be apart of this fabulous cause before that time comes.

Below is a list of the holiday beverages being offered this year

Espresso Truffle- Signature Hot Chocolate with Espresso topped with Whipped Cream
Peppermint Mocha Twist- Mocha, Peppermint, Espresso, and Steamed Milk topped with Peppermint Whipped Cream and Chocolate Shavings
Eggnog Latte- Steamed Eggnog (Cut with your choice of milk) and Espresso topped with Nutmeg
Gingersnap Latte- Gingerbread, Espresso, and Steamed Milk topped with Whipped Cream and Crystalized Ginger

Agreed. I had some issue with Starbucks a few years back....but this is a good move on their part, and I can see myself going back there more often for this cause.

Um... Fraps are usually the only thing I drink from Starbuck, but for this... I'm thinking I can have a few of those Expresso Truffles!

I saw that when I was at one last Friday. Very awesome. I am all about the (RED) cause. I have an INSPI(RED) shirt, bought the (RED) Product iPod Nano when it first came out... you get the idea.

I stopped at a Starbucks on Thanksgiving (one of the few places open!) and they gave me a coupon for a free RED holiday drink! I used it over the weekend for a Gingersnap Latte... it was awesome! I want to try the other ones now.

Thanks for spreading the word about this Abominables, Starbucks is a good company!

Does the Sea-Salt Caramel hot chocolate count towards this? I may have to go to Starbucks today (and because I'm in the "Seatle area" I'm supporting local business.).

I think it's only the truffle, gingersnap and peppermint mocha twist drinks that are part of the (RED) campaign.

I read this on the cup over the holiday. Nice that a portion of the money I spend on Gingersnap lattes will go to a worthy cause!
