lol, yea, i'm 21, but mom still spoils me no matter what i say.

I think what was better then what i got was the look on mom's face when she opened the blanket i made her. she started crying and wouldn't put it down., it was great! That's when i feel my time is appreciated.

Re: What did Santa bring you?

this year I haven't been in the spirit. Normally i make a big deal of each person buying for each other (mostly for the kids) but this year has been different. my best friend's husband took his own life three weeks ago and left her with 4 kids (he was 39). it has made me appreciate the small stuff, I tell you!

Re: What did Santa bring you?

My Mom would still spoil me and my sister (despite her being married with 2 kids) but this year she hurt her arm so she couldn't shop as much (and feels bad, like adult kids care about gifts over Mom LOL)

Re: What did Santa bring you?

I got some surprises that I wasn't expecting.

The ones I did expect were:
New slippers
WALL-E on DVD

Ones I didn't expect:
A Sony mini component system. My old Kenwood I had in college crapped out when there was an electrical surge. I was thinking of buying one earlier this year but then I became laid-off from work. So, it wa apleasant surprise.
Also got some much needed money from my parents. I hope I can finally find work in the new year so that I can finally pay them back a little for helping me get through college and university. I think I'll eventually send them on a trip to Mexico or Disneyland.

Hey I'm 27 and my mom still spoils me (and my dad. Dad isn't into big gestures though, but he just handed me a cup of cowboy coffee with extra sugar-just the way I like it.).

That's so sweet about the blanket! Isn't it the best feeling to see the look on someone's face when you make them a handmade gift and they appreciate it?

Haven't opened anything yet but because I picked them:
-the BE Diamond QVC today's special value kit.
-knit picks Harmony interchangable needles.
-an electric blanket.
There's more stuff marked Kim I just to open it.
