    Re: Monster Truck Jam

Not a fan of these events, but I know lots of people like them because they have them at the Big A every January, and they always sell out.

I'm just glad that they give the ground crew enough time to get the baseball field in shape before the Angels need it.

And I'll bet it takes most of the two months that they have to do it in.

I will say that the pictures were good. And the one vehicle that impressed me was the Mayberry patrol car.

Yeah, it was really sad. I think I have a good guess on which truck it was (unless they announced it, the article I read didn't state it). I was definitely POed when it said that people in crowd needed to throw cups at the medics to get their attention and that they didn't stop the show.

Yea, I was watching the news this morning and was like HEY! cause I recognized the trucks then they said what happened and I was all sad. Did it hit a little kid or an adult? i was very drowsy this morning while watching it.

    Re: Monster Truck Jam

What happened was the truck started doing donuts, which of course would kick up dirt but debris coming from the truck itself started flying off and going into the crowd. A little kid got hit. People were freaking out and trying to notify a medic, but they had to throw their food and cups at them to get their attention. They didn't stop the show, and kept on going. I'm not too sure if they child died on the impact of the hit or not, but it was pretty sad.

    Re: Monster Truck Jam

Yep. Incredibly sad. One of our employees was there w/ his family. They were 20ft away from the boy who was hit. Said it took what seemed like 15minutes before they could get anyone's attention and rush EMTs up there to help. The object split open the boy's skull and if the impact didn't kill him, the blood loss did.

Is it the one I'm probably thinking of? It was at our show, right?

Hmm...I think I may have found out why Gravedigger wins. The U.S.H.R.A. is owned by the same company that owns Gravedigger.
