January 10th, 2009:
MONSTER JAM!
Kritter, Pacman, and I went to Monster Jam and the Pit Party before the event. It was pretty awesome and we got to meet the drivers and see their trucks up close.
But before the pit party, we had to wait to get in..
May we model our favorite trucks for you?
Even Wall-E was pretty excited for the fun!
After waiting about 45 minutes at the very front of the line, we head on over to Grave Digger (since it's the most popular truck at the event) and Maximum Destruction!
Tom Meents (driver of Maximum Destruction) is an awesome dude. He was picking up kids with one hand and being a great person to interact with.
Then we went to Time Flys and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Just to give you an idea of how huge these tires are:
(I felt short)
And Shawn was going to get run over by a turtle!
We soon headed over to meet the driver of Jurassic Attack and Maniac:
Soon we were shaking hands with Shocker and Obsession:
Here's Shawn with The Patriot and Shocker since his Obsession picture disappeared...
The Patriot
Soon we were meeting Nico's favorite truck: Blue Thunder! Also, we met Tropical Thunder, so it was a thunderstorm!
There was also TV/Movie cars and old Fords.
The actual Andy Griffith Show Police car!
We left to go eat at Carl's Jr. across the street from The Grove.
The show was about to start, so we came back and got to our seats. Before the actual trucks, they had UTV Racing.
And also child UTV Racing! The drivers in these cars aged from 8 - 13 years old.
Whoops!
THEN MONSTER JAM STARTED. YEAHHHH!
It's amazing seeing these guys in action, especially when they wipeout!
Here come the drivers, giving everyone a THANK YOU AND GOOOOOODNIGHT!
The show was awesome and we all had a great time. Grave Digger won the races and the freestyle. I did take a video of his performance, but YouTube is loading the video slowly, so I will have to show it a later time.
