| freak without warning   | I Got A Job! Some of you may know I left my job in August, after spending 3 unhappy years there. My original plan was to start back to school, but it became apparent very quickly that Anders and I couldn't make it on his salary alone. So I began my job search at the worst time in recent memory to be unemployed. I registered with no less than 8 temp agencies, applied for almost 60 jobs on Monster.com, and was starting to feel more than a little discouraged. This morning I got the call I've been waiting for. I'll start working Monday! Yay me!  I am so happy and relieved.

When I was laid off for a few months last summer/fall, I sent out close to 100 resumes, but I don't trust the temp agencies around here because they've never been good for squat in the almost 10 years I've lived in Florida (always had great luck with the ones in Michigan until I found a permanent job up there). I'm just glad my work was able to bring me back!

| Re: I Got A Job! This must be a sign that times are changing... I TOO start a new job next week (Tuesday - Monday is MLK holiday). And I was searching for nearly a year so you can imaging how many resumes I've sent out. Congrats and good luck on the new job!!
