Left-lane slowpokes drive you crazy?

I had no idea it was illegal to drive slow in the left lane or pass on the right for that matter! It seems that is the case in some states. Interesting!

This is one of my biggest pet peeves because people in the left lane can sometimes back up traffic for miles.

Indeed they do. Esp. since it feels like they've taken it upon themselves to regulate everyone's speed.

I learned to drive a few decades back by my grandpa who was a traveling salesman. He taught me to stay in the right except for passing and to flash my lights at someone in the left hand lane to get over so that I could get by.

I wish everyone had learned from him.

The thing that really, really burns my buns though is the truckers that jump over to the left hand lane because the truck in front of them is going 1 MPH too slow. It would be OK if they sped up but nope, they just get over and take a good five minutes to pass and get back over.

9 times out of 10 those left lane slow-pokes are in Camrys. It's true!

But yea, it is annoying, especially when the other lanes are moving along just fine, except the left lane, because there's a 97 year old lady in her gold 1998 Camry with sheepskin seat covers and a sheepskin seatbelt cozy, going 52 when the speed limit is 65, with 7 cars behind her.

It also irritates me to no end when I am driving home in massivie rush hour traffic, and the jerk behind me flashes me with high beams. Ah hello, its rush hour. You expect me and everyone to move out of your way? Where would you like me to go when everyone is going no faster than 30 miles an hour?????

I will admit I drive a Camry (Hybrid) and sometimes drive in the left lane.

DO NOT FLASH your lights if there is nowhere for the car in the left hand lane to go. You only flash lights if you have been stuck behind the slower car for a few minutes and they have had plenty of time to move over.

O-nut I will keep track on Friday how many of the cars we pass are Camry's.

I think I am going to check today as I drive home how many of the bad drives are Camry's A scientific experiment to prove ONut's theory on Camry drivers

Omigosh. 9 times out of 10, the car that's annoying me is a Camry. That goes way back to '93, when I would travel from Chico to Oakland on weekends to visit my boyfriend. Someone tried to tell me it's just because it's a really freakin' popular car, but we know better, don't we?!?!?

For those of you who hate the slow drivers, head over to Youtube and check out Foamy the Squirrel's "Hammers and Floodlights" clip. Problem solved.

And yes, O-nut, a majority of bad drivers prefer Toyotas. Next time you're on the road behind a crappy/slow/swervy/drunk driver, have a look. I almost guarantee it's a Toyota. Researchers are mystified for the reason behind this phenomena.

I will be stopping by Home Depot tomorrow for my case of hammers. But I will be using my floodlight for the stupid slow people in the left lane.

Drivers beware, if you are driving long distance on a two lane road stay the heck to the right unless you are passing. Otherwise a hammer and floodlight may be in your future.
