Jack I. Box hit by Bus! Rebranding Jack in the Box?

I really hope they aren't killing off Jack. I noticed that the new JiTB that is opening near my work uses their new logo:

I hope that this is some sort of rebanding project - while keeping Jack. He's been my favorite corporate character.

Maybe they are making a whole new line of food catered to people who eat through a straw???

Sounds like a social media campaign to make people demand that the company keep Jack (which I'm sure they would do anyway). May just be really smart marketing.

We don't have Jack in the Box here but I see their commercials on TV here sometimes. Weird.

I love JiB tacos. I know they are made from meat of questionable origin. But I loves 'em. I call them dog meat tacos, because they remind me of Alpo. It's the only really disgusting thing I like and since I rarely eat them, I think it's all right.

They did a campaign of blowing up the Jack In The Box that you ordered into, in the early eighties. Later, they came back with this guy. I'd prefer bringing back the original to keeping this guy going. His "playing dumb" has never been a great appeal.
Maybe they're making cuts like every other business and "his head has gotten too big" along with his demands while on set for the commercials.

I love Jack and his silly commercials! I heard somewhere that the taco meat is soy. "Soy" not soylent green!

This is a brilliant ad campaign. Now click on this site to see the continuing saga of what is happening since he got hit by the bus. (and yes I think it has something to do with the new logo they are introducing)

I also just get a big kick out of the mini sirloin burgers.
