In honor of Valentine's Day...

I know here at MC we spend a lot of time dwelling on negatives. Tomorrow's a big day for couples. What's something about your significant other that you really do appreciate? Can be big or not so big, just keep it positive. I'll go first.

My husband really understands me, and knows just what a goof I am, and he almost always seems to know what I need to turn my mood around. He makes me laugh with his silliness, and sometimes moves me to tears with his sweetness and absolute devotion.

Maybe it's time that you looked at yourself
Stop blaming life on someone else

Re: In honor of Valentine's Day...

My husband has such a great relationship with our son. He is really a terrific father. He plays with him, takes him for his haircuts (I never do), usually the one to give him his bath, takes him to the park. He just loves spending time with him. Its an absolute pleasure to watch their relationship grow. It makes me love him more.

Re: In honor of Valentine's Day...

My husband is going thru his second bout with cancer. We knew he'd be starting treatment this month and to get ME ready to be the best support person I can be, he sent me to Disneyland for the MC Anniversary. He also made sure his treatment didn't conflict with Gumball Rally...making sure I don't get lost in the chaos that cancer creates in our lives. (Just so you know, he'll be done with treatment in March, so the Gumball thing was an effort on his part that ended up not being a real issue. By May 30, he'll be back to full energy and then some!)

But more than that, he is a great dad. He takes the time to get down and play with them. He has always been in charge of baths. He takes them to the dentist because the mere smell (they all smell the same, really) of a dental office makes me shake. It's all the little things.

He isn't one for the big romantic gestures, but he really tries to make sure I feel loved every day.

My husband can always make me laugh, even when I don't want to. He's super smart but very modest. He's so sweet and caring and does all he can to make me happy! He's always there when I need him. He doesn't mind the real me - and I love him with all of my heart

My wife is kinder than anyone I've met. I'm convinced there is no better Mother to their children on this planet than my wife.

My 'other half' always puts a big smile on my face, even when I'm having the worst day and he can always make me laugh in almost any situation.

My husband gave me the most beautiful gifts in the whole world, our two children. He has brought so much happiness and love to my life. He is my best friend and the best father to our kids I could ever ask for! I love him so much!!

Re: In honor of Valentine's Day...

I partner/husband thinks I'm okay. I know I'm not perfect. But his belief in me makes me want to be better.

He gives me a reason to come home.

I only hope I can repay him.

Peace,
Roo

Re: In honor of Valentine's Day...

My husband always makes me laugh. And never makes me cry.

He's my rock to lean on, he's my lobster.

He's everything I ever hoped for, and more than I could have asked for.

He's patient, kind and always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He's my best friend; always there to calm my fears and worries. He's the best father our daughter could have. He's her best friend and favorite playmate. He's the son my parents never had, and a friend to my friends.

He's my hero. He's my knight in shining armor.

He accepts me for who I am, and never pushes me..unless he knows it's what I need. He's always there whether I need a kind word, a shoulder to cry on, or to laugh until I cry...he's there. Even when the miles separate us...he's there. He loves me unconditionally and he loves me more than I realize sometimes. He makes me smile even when I don't want to.

He's in my best memories, and my every thought.

He is my dream come true.

Heck, my heart still melts every time he brings me a glass of ornage juice and kisses me goodbye before leaving for work.

Ken is thoughtful and kind and everything I ever wished for in a husband.

He has been there for me in some of the most difficult things I had to go through in my life and supported me 100%.

I just love him and I wanna grow old with him just like that old couple in The Notebook.

Re: In honor of Valentine's Day...

even after almost 17 years together sometimes i just find myself looking at my husband and my heart gets all fluttery like when we first met

i love that we have pajama days where we stay home in our jammies and do nothing but play WoW all day, and we're perfectly happy to be doing just that

and i just love that i fall more in love with him as time goes on, and i'll love him...
.....Until The End Of The World...

My wife is the perfect compliment to me. She has everything that I lack and needed. She's fun, silly and has a soft side that very few have ever gotten to see. She's everything I ever could have wanted in a partner.

Re: In honor of Valentine's Day...

My husband and I have been married for 21 years and he is still my dream come true. He is the one who gets homesick for Disney and says we can't go more than six months without visiting a park. He took us to France just to see DLP and hopes to take us to Tokyo and Hong Kong soon. When he is done with his military career here in Pittsburgh, we will move to Orlando so I can finally work for Disney. If that isn't love then I don't know what is. He's a great guy!
