| Proud 'Puff   | My Car Pool Buddy got a speeding ticket Hey, my carpoolie got a ticket today while I was with her. I wasn't encouraging her to speed or anything. Am I responsible for part of the ticket? I really have no idea any advice would be welcome.

Now if you were asking her to speed in order to get YOU somewhere in a hurry, then you might have a moral obligation to pay for her ticket, but you and I both know that the true "cost" of the citation does not end with paying just for that (insurance rates, driving points, etc...). Most likely not. You're not responsible for the ticket. Don't even offer. Yeah, sucks she got a ticket, feel bad about that if you want to, but it's not your fault and it's not your responsibility to help pay it. |
