Tattoo Barbie?

The Buzz Log - Tattooed Barbie Rocks the Web - Yahoo! Buzz

What do you think? Is this sending kids some kind of bad message? Should this be pulled?

I actually want one!

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

Parents buy toys for their kids so they shouldn't worry about it sending a messge, and as it stands most Barbie merchandise is geared toward the adult collector. Although I wonder when Barbie will have piercings!

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

doesn't the Barbi doll in general send bad messages to children?

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

I actually like it, I don't think it's sending a bad message. Maybe it's just because barbies always freaked me out and I use to decapitate them.....

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

This isn't really any different than kids putting those lick'n'stick tattoos on their hands or arms. I've seen Barbie have some crazy ideas over the years, this isn't one of them though.
The way little girls see it: A Barbie (YAY), Stickers (YAY), the freedom to put the stickers where I want on my Barbie and take them off if I see fit (YAY).

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

There was a Barbie line a couple of years ago that had tattoos around the navel. It was some beach line.

In any case, it's the parents responsibility to choose the toys their children play with.

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

I don't think it's a bad idea. As stated before, parents who take issue with tattoos simply won't buy them for their kids.

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

I don't think this a bad idea at all, unlike the pregnant Midge doll they had a few years ago.

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

I used to have a Tattoo Barbie when I was a kid, no wait now that I think about it I just drew on my Barbies. At least this is creative.

Re: Tattoo Barbie?

People who freak out about these things drive me nuts. Who cares? It's a Barbie for heaven's sake! Don't buy it if you don't like it. And, since when is getting a tattoo such a Satanic thing to do? ha! (And, no, I don't have any!)

I thought there was, too. I looked all over for that Barbie. Never did find her.

I've always enjoyed the curious and creative ways that people pose Barbie and her friends together ..people like me.
