Do you Go-Go too much?

I was talking to my family yesterday about checking out this state park next weekend and both my honey and my mother piped in, "Don't you just ever want to stay home?"

With working full time and going to school full time at night, I use the weekends to spend time with my family as much as possible. Since I don't get to spend "quality time" with them during the week, I'm always trying to find new places to see and things to do on weekends together.

Some small, some big, depending what's going on. Like taking the kids to the park, going to the zoo or even a day at Disney.

So after both of them pipping in I had to ask myself, "Can you go go too much?" Don't get me wrong, I love staying in, watching a movie or doing nothing for a day, it's great when your tired and need to recharge your batteries. However, I'm an adventurer, I like to leave the house.

So what do you think? Am I crazy? Wait, don't answer that.

Is there something wrong with me that I like leaving the house and enjoying fresh air?

Surely I'm not the only one that enjoys the outdoors.

I'm with you there Summer. A weekend of just sitting home feels completely wasted.

Same here Summer. We are usually out and about on the weekends. But I get no grief for it, most of my family is this way and always had been. You need to live life, you know? My husband likes to stay home sometimes, but no issues, I leave him there

Re: Do you Go-Go too much?

Us too. When hubby is home....we are NOT in the house on the weekends. Like aashee said....a weekend spent at home just feels wasted. We'll do it every now and then. Esp. if hubby has had a couple of days off during the week.....but, usually when saturday hits....we're out and doing something. Even if it's just a tour of the malls in town.

Our 6 yr old, on the other hand....HATES to go anywhere. So, since hubby has been gone...me and her seem to spend weekends at home with her playing and me cleaning. Not that I don't want to go out and do something....it's just easier than listening to her whine and complain. We do manage to make trips shopping and to the zoo about once a month, though.

Re: Do you Go-Go too much?

Sometimes because I'm not home much, I DO want to just stay home every now and then. My cats miss me and I miss then and I like spending time with them so they don't think they've been abandoned. Sometimes the perfect weekend for me is just being a lazy slug at home.

But other weekends I just want to get the hell out of Dodge, you know?

Re: Do you Go-Go too much?

I definitely need to get out of the house at least once a day. It helps my sanity.

Re: Do you Go-Go too much?

I don't Go-Go that much and it's not b/c I don't want to, it's just that my hubby works most Saturdays. So, that leaves family day on Sunday's. I'm the adventurous type and I love to get outdoors when I can.

No, I don't go-go too much...

Come to think about it, I don't think I've ever go-go danced in my life...

Re: Do you Go-Go too much?

With a motorhome and a boat, we get our fair share of the great outdoors!

Add to that AP's for DL and what more could you ask for!

The honey-do list can wait, it's sunny outside!

Let's go!!!

Re: Do you Go-Go too much?

During summer break we are rarely home on the weekends. During Spt-Dec we're rarely home on the weekends also, with the holidays and stuff. We're pretty homebound during Jan-March though, when hockey season is in full force
