    Closed Threads

I can't help it, I love reading the threads that have been closed down for whatever reason.
They are the threads that are usually the most interesting ones to read. They contain emotions,
controversary, battles, rule breakers, etc... Who cares about threads like "If you owned Disneyland..."
or "What rides would you create...". They are all fantasyland threads that have no substance
because you don't own Disneyland and you can't create (or bring back!) any rides. A real thread comes
from the gut and not from someones daydreaming (generally speaking). Now, I'm not saying that I don't
read the other threads because of course I do ( well, I do skip the daydreaming, If you could do this
    threads...
though). I'm only saying that I prefer reading the dirt throwing, mud slinging, he said/she said,
emotions from the heart threads the best.

(Please don't throw dirt on me!)

But d-phile, the marketing campaign has already begun, you can't keep it a secret now! (see signature)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I have to admit that I get a little bored with usual... What is your favprote...thread. I love the threads that bring out the soul of users. However, you can't codemn those that post the superficial type posts. Not everyone is ready or capable of thought provoking threads.

    Re: Closed Threads

I can take a certain amount of heated discussion, but sometimes it gets to be too much of the same arguments and i just give up because no one is going to budge on their views. But as soon as i see that it's been closed i just have to look again. Darn curiosity I guess. I have to know just how bad it got that the thread was closed. I'm usually dissapointed though because it's not nearly as exciting as my imagination made it out to be.

Yes, I agree. I realize that there is a wide variety of ages in this forum and what is thought provoking to a 14 year old might not be though provoking to a 41 year old and visa-versus.

My favorite posts are actually the informative ones. Disneyland history, Disneyland events, etc... are high on my favorite's. However, sometimes I feel "dirty" and I troll through the litter box and read the posts there (that's where most of the closed threads are anyway). I must say that I do not condone name calling or anything like that simply because people have a difference of opinion.

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Yeah, the threads that get people's blood pressure up, are the best to read. Although, I've seen people crash and burn on those topics.

    Re: Closed Threads

Waaaaay back in High School I had an English teacher who said there were three kinds of people.......

    1) Those who like to talk about people

    2) Those who like to talk about things

    3) Those who like to talk about ideas

It was pretty clear by the way he listed them that he thought a great deal of the latter but not so much of the former.

I'm just a voyuer - I love watching exchanges of snippy remarks, and my enjoyment is increased if the topic is of a sexual inuendo nature (e.g. sluts, skanks, and lingerie)

    Im feeling left behind again.
