If anyone put fast food tacos as the best tacos, they need a tastebud transplant.

As for Del Taco, it's barely tolerable. tiny tacos, and the meat is just not seasoned very well at all.
Taco John's must really be good if it compares to taco Bell.

I take it Miguels is a full service restaurant. As much as I love fast food, I like quality fool service mexican restaurants far more. A fun dining experience all the way around.

From what I've heard, these dangerous tastebud transplants can turn you into a meathead or vegetable if something goes wrong!

    Baja Fresh is goodness.
El Pollo Loco isn't half bad either.

That sounds so good! I'm going to make some tri-tip tacos soon. I'll add bell peppers, onions, olives ..and a yummy sauce of some kind. Anyone have a suggestion?

Here's a great suggestion! If you go to Costco they sell a Bill Bailey's tri-tip and it's called SantaMaria. That has perfect seasoning for tri-tip tacos. Fry up some onions and peppers in the drippings and that's good eats my friend.

There are 2 sit down restaurant that I love. One is the whole Enchilada in Placentia, great tacos and the best salsa ever. The other in Anchos in Riverside. It's in a crappy neighborhood but the food is outstanding, best mexican BBQ sauce I've ever had.

If fast food is your bag, I love the crispy fried shredded beef tacos at Albertos. Angioplasty not included.

We buy the Bill Baileys carne asada and make killer tacos! They are my absolute favorite!!
Second place is Rubios. And sometimes I'll get a really weird craving for JITB tacos even though I'm pretty sure they use soy meat in them.

The carne asada one is good too, I just love the flavor of the SantaMaria one.

I'm definitely going to get SantaMaria at my local Costco. Thanks for the scrumptious lead!

I miss REALLY good Mexican food living in Seattle now. I grew up in Phoenix and I have several spots there that I love. In Anaheim, I like La Casa Garcia (a hole in the wall on Harbor and Chapman) and Tacos Mi Pueblo..also a hole in the wall.
