 | STATUE OF LIBERTY WILL REOPEN CROWN JULY 4th  That's right the title says it all, The Statue of Liberty will reopen her crown on July 4, 2009.Here is the article that was announced on the Today Show. Statue of Liberty will reopen on Fourth of July - TODAY Travel I am totally excited they are finally opening up the crown. The last time i was in New York City, the island was closed and i missed out. Hopefully next year, i will return to New York and i will finally visit Lady Liberty.
