I Had a Dream About Walt.

Last night, I had a dream. Mr. Disney was in it! He was in the part of my dream where I was lost in a huge crowd and Uncle Walt came up to me and said, "Ian, in life, whatever you do, DO NOT give up your dreams and goals of the past, present, and future and only then will you be successful!" And then Mr. Disney just kind of disappeared/walked away. When I woke up, I was like, 'WOOOOOOWWWWW.....' It was a pretty surreal experience! In a good way!

Hehe... and he knew your name, too! That's pretty cool. Sounds like something Walt might say.

Was your dream in black and white?

If that were my dream, it'd would have been a random old guy eating popcorn and levitating, not Walt Disney.

Why can't my dreams be halfway sane. Why?

Wow, Uncle Walt sure lives on within Disney fans' dreams. I'm sure that's what he would say to all his fans. Maybe you should write his message down in your signature area.

Haha, I hear you. I love having dreams, but they usually don't make sense. There are always a rare few that are actually 'normal', but most of them are just strange. I have dreams about 'Disneyland' a lot, but the Disneyland in my dreams doesn't resemble the actual park at all.

That sounds like an interesting dream though, mr. firebolt.

Well, I had a dream about Disneyland one time. That the park is complete covered with a protective force bubble shield. I see red skies and guests standing still in fear. Hell is raining loose around Earth, while Walt Disney's original theme park, Disneyland is protected along with it's guests. The whole place is protected, even the monorail. Expect the parking lots and DCA and Downtown Disney.

I dreamed one night I was in Disneyland only it was a little weird. At one point in the dream I saw Walt Disney. He didn't say anything but I asked him, "Can you hold my hand?" And he held my hand as we walked through the park together. I remember it feeling really good like he was a grandfather or older man who I really respected and felt protected by.

Same here. I've had dreams where I'm in the park but it's totally different from the way it really is. There are rides that differ from the real ones and rides that don't even exist at all.

I rarely have dreams, and when I do, they're usually incoherent and hard to remember. I'm fairly sure I've had a DLR dream, but no Walt dream. Maybe I'll have one now that you've mentioned it though!

I had a dream I was showing him designs and mock ups for ALL of the lands costumes! He and I just had an amazing conversation about what he liked and what he wanted to see! I remember it all being technical and both of us being really meticulous, but I wouldnt have had it any other way. I woke up feeling so giddy!

Re: I Had a Dream About Walt.

A good friend of mine once had a dream that she was showing Walt samples of the comic strip she's developing for newspaper syndication. He loved her ideas, but he warned her not to get so excited about getting published that she forgot to protect her rights: "You've got stars in your eyes. Make sure you get yourself a good lawyer." (He oughta know, right?) The way she described his mannerisms and speech patterns was very accurate, and the funny thing is that at the time she hadn't seen much video footage of Walt.

It sounds a little crazy, but sometimes I think Walt's still around, looking out for young dreamers and helping them along. I think it's the afterlife he would have wanted.
