Came back from Disneyland CA with fever

I was at Disneyland for 5 straight days, walking all day, drinking lots and lots of water, other stuff. More walking and drinking in my life. On the morning of my departure at Hyatt, I woke up at 6:30am, 4 and half hours of sleep, with a light cough, little phlem. I was sore from walking, light sunburns, etc. I figure maybe all the walking and heavy breathing, constant drinking and swallowing may have made my throat sore and breathed in dirty air.

Though, at home, by 10:40pm I had a temp of 99.6, then 100.5, then it went to normal late in the night and morning, but now and then hit 99, but now, at 8:44pm, I hit 102.5.

My symptoms are the cough, with rough throat, phlem, this morning swallowing was a bit bad, but went away, and slightly runny, just blowing it a lot. I just mainly feel hot around the face, sometimes cold when the place is at 80 degrees. No real headache, sometimes head hurts with a jolt from a sneeze. Muscles and skin not really aching, beyond being sore from walking there.

No troubles going to the bathroom, but I was going less the entire time at the park, figure it was the sweating and heat. ALso, I've had a sinus problem for weeks, one nostral always being stuffed or worse, could this be a sign of something from that. My nose passages were good the entire time at the park and hotel. Not sure if the new smoking neighbors at home were the sinus issues.

There were threads with many people that came back from DL with some kind of illness, and the end result of what it was. A recent thread around May was closed already. I figured I'd post my symptoms in case any else had similar problems during say a long visit to one of the parks. And then the worry about the swine flu.

I hope you feel better soon.

Although I don't think it's wise to ask other Micehatters to diagnose your symptoms. The best thing for you to do is call your doctor and have him or her treat you accordingly.

Drink lots of fluids and wash your hands (or use the spray sanitizer.).

Exactly! I don't come here to read about how people aren't having problems going to the bathroom. No offense! I'd call your doctor and present your health concerns to them. They will be able to give a proper diagnosis.

Why would you even read a post about someone's illness then? No reason to make a rude comment then come BACK to the thread to post again.

Timothy, I hope that you feel better soon! Hope that it's just a one off thing.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Four Things:
    1. Drink plenty of fluids. They help keep your core temperature down and it's just good for your health in general.
    2. Wash your hands. Keep any other infections from getting in while your immune system is busy.
    3. Take it easy. Just go light on your body, it takes a lot of energy to fight off an infection.
    4. Most important, see your doctor. Most people skip this step because they don't want to see them for every little thing. It's what they are there for though. If you are actually sick, see the doctor. They will know how best to discover exactly what it is you have and how best to get rid of it. They will most likely also tell you to follow steps 1 - 3 above so they are definitely a good place to start.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I usually come home from WDW with a minor cold that I get over within a week. Just remember when you're at a theme park, you're around tens of thousands of people and not all of them practice proper hygiene habits. Just take the proper meds, get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids (juice, water) to help flush the ick out of your system.
