Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

Thanks Anthony for the heads up that this thread is here!

Kittingknerd - I'm also afraid of heights and tall. I wonder if it's because when we are up high, our heads are just that little bit higher then everyone elses?

Now, for the topic at hand...this weekend is also not good for us. We are open to other suggestions though. And I'm super excited that my Neenie is open on the weekends!

Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

Well it sounds like this upcoming weekend is not very good overall.
Thoughts on next weekend, 14th or 15th? I know this does not work for KnittingKnerd. How about everyone else?

Depending on the time, we could bring the crew.

Southcenter works for us. Northgate, Bellevue (Lincoln Square Cinemas), Issaquah, Crossroads.... Heck, we're usually game for just about anything.

Ann - would love to catch up with you guys again!

Neen - it's been too long!

Anthony, seriously, just pick a day and time; we'll figure out if we can make it.

Mark and I are going to see A Christmas Carol tomorrow, but, I'd see it again with my NW homies! It has been too long for us all!! It was UP, right? (And, Rich, you weren't there.)

Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

Ok, Well how does Saturday, Nov 14th sound for people? I have not found a schedule yet for that days showings though. I imagine the plan will be like it always is, meet beforehand for lunch then go to a showing in the theater. I assume that we all want to meet at Southcenter again. That seemed to work well last time.

Pretty hard for us to make a late morning/early afternoon showtime. We have select soccer and Seattle Youth Symphony orchestra gigs. I'll keep an eye on the thread for the showtime

Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

I just posted this over in the meet thread.

With the Disneyland Outlet/Warehouse store opening near the Northgate Mall, anyone want to move the meet up there and we can see the movie at the Regal Thornton Place Stadium 14 & IMAX nearby?

Here is their showing schedule for Saturday.

    What is everyone's thoughts?

Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

So I think it is time to start considering the Princess and the Frog meet.

The release date is Friday, December 11th.

First thing I want to get out of the way is where. The way I see it we have 3 possible locations, each with their plusses and minuses.

Option 1: Southcenter AMC. Southcenter Mall, Tukwila, WA.
This is where we had the UP meet.
Pros: Large food court, nice theater, centrally located
Cons: A mall in December can be really crowded.

Option 2: Regal Thornton Cinema, near Northgate Mall.
Pros: new theater, Disneyland Outlet store nearby.
Cons: We have not been there yet.

Option 3: Galaxy Theaters in Gig Harbor, WA
We had several meets here for films like WallE and Bolt
Pros: Great theater, The crowds are just theater crowds
Cons: Out of the way for most, not many food choices.

So I am looking for feedback. Any additional suggestions?

Re: The New Pacific Northwest Micechatter thread.

We will be out of town the weekend the movie opens and the SimplyMad family will be out of town the opening weekend thru the following Saturday. We might be going somewhere that might have this riverboat that might have Princess Tiana on it singing and stuff?

Not sure what SimplyMad's plans would be for wanting to see this movie but we definitely do want to see it. Way late on the planning to go to SoCal or I would have sprung for the $$ to go see it at the Disney Studios - so seeing it with friends when we get home would be just perfect!!

As for theater choices, Southcenter probably has the best location. I will say that Gig Harbor got a new eatery - a burger place called Blazing Onion and it's REALLY good food!! However, other than for a select few of us, Gig Harbor is really out of the way. I'd hope that if we had it in a large shopping mall like Southcenter, maybe more people would come and make a day of it with holiday shopping?

Wow - I sure said a lot without helping really make any decisions...
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!
