It's a good thing I'm a liberal Republican then, heehee. I own four American Girl dolls. I bought my daughter her first one two years ago and I'm thinking of buying her second (the native American one is sooo cute!) for her next birthday. And I'm looking forward to the new American Girl movie coming out next month. Boycotts for reasons like those in the article make me .
O-nut you read my mind... I was just about to post this!
I've already sent hate mail to the Conservative Psychos and supportive mail to American Girl and Mattel. I hope others do as well.
The people who complain send lots of e-mail, and thus get heard. Lets make sure American Girl knows they have support too! I'd hate to see them back down on this one, Girls, Inc. is an organization I fully support!
Pretty sad, the things self righteous people will attempt to read into a simple gesture of love and acceptance towards someone and/or group and then try to force their narrow way of thinking onto others. It disgusts me.
I don't own an American Girl doll but I am buying one this evening for my granddaughter.
While I don't think I agree with everything that Girls Inc. advocates (based on that story... I didn't go to the site), American Girl is giving money to three specific programs that ave nothing to do with all the controversial issues that the protest is about. So, I don't see too much wrong with that. I just don't quite get it.
No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
No broken heart,
No familiar scars,
This territory goes uncharted...
