    Exclamation SCARY! Pumpkins

From my laboratory in the Castle East, to the master bedroom where the Vampires feast…

Yes friends, Halloween is nearly here! I did not get a chance to get down to the DLR for the spook-day festivities, so I have decided to make the best of it with some classic pumpkin carving photos. My fiancé and I turned on Hocus Pocus starring Bette Midler and a once-beautiful Sarah Jessica Parker and began the ritual. Another program you may also find interesting, the Monsters and Aliens Halloween special. I know, DreamWorks SKG, boo! I too have never been a DWA (trading title) fan – but this is a pretty good little show.

I will note that if given the chance, use the carving tools as opposed to the standard cutlery available in your kitchen. They make scooping and cutting a much easier task – especially the saw tools.

Here are a few photos of our gourds – Monica’s being the skull and bones, mine being “scary guy”. Please use this thread to show some of your vegetable mutilations!

My 14-year-old son carved this one. Since we'll be making our fifth (my sixth) trip to Disneyland this year in a couple of weeks, we thought it was appropriate. (We live 600 miles away, so it's a trek when we go!)

Wow! Amazing creations! The Jack and Oogie ones are rad. I just posted my pics in the Entertainment Lounge but I'll post them again here as well. These are my Twilight pumpkins. Jacob Black and Edward Cullen.

    Re: SCARY! Pumpkins

Izzy's pumpkins kick mine's butts but here's my attempt at vampire humor:

Originally I cut the vampire one and then left it at that (he had the bloody mouth), then I was like "It would be funny just to have a dead body there." And I asked my mom what she thought and she was like "with little Xs as eyes?" And suddenly it became that. It makes me laugh.
