    Who likes Swing Music?

A friend of mine is the leader of a very popular and busy local Swing Band. They will be playing at Memories (a very cool swing club) in downtown Whittier on Friday night, November 11. The show/dance begins at 9, and there is a $10 admission charge, however, you can show up at 7:30 for a dance lesson (charge for that is also $10). They also serve food.

It would be totally fun to get a group of us together and go to this. If enough people are interested we can reserve a couple of tables ahead of time.

I saw their show last Friday night and it was a blast. There were easily a couple hundred people there, well over half of them in complete period dress. The music is terrific and lively, the ballroom floor was full most of the night, and the band played until almost 12:30.

Let me know who might be interested in going. The band is called Phat Cat Swinger, and you can check out their website at PhatCatSwinger.com if you're curious about what to expect.

BTW, this isn't meant to be a plug for the band; I just thought this would be a very fun chance to meet outside the park. And believe me, there are ALL ages represented there.

LOL... sorry, wasn't meant to be misleading. Guess our minds work in different ways!

BTW, I just found out from their website that the cost is $10 for the show, or $13 with the dance lesson.

    Any takers?

Sound like fun, but the Wolfman doesn't dance...I use to Swing Dance a bit, but that was quite a while ago. Would look funny dancing Swing by myself!

Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.

You know, you don't have to dance to enjoy the show. We didn't dance last week and we had a blast. Don't let that keep you away...

Love Memories, but I probably won't go this time, sorry.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
