My Wedding Website: Complete with Hidden Mickey

So, Im getting married next month. My fiance and I recently sent out our invitations and we launched a website with wedding info. I tried to get a little tricky and I hid several icons/logos of several of our favorite things in the background of the site. WplusK.com

    Can you find them all?

Also, any general feedback about the site would be great as well.

I found 5 things; did I get them all? I don't want to list them so I don't give it away for anyone else that goes to look.

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I went through the Temple before it opened with my parents (interesting experience on the outside, and a beautiful one on the inside! I remember a room with clouds painted on the ceilings...)
That website is phenomenal. Good job!

Re: My Wedding Website: Complete with Hidden Mickey

I appreciate everyones kind words. You all are so very nice.

Recently I made some changes to the the things hidden on the website. I guess it was a little hard to find them. So, I've many of the icon bigger and moved some of them around. All the original icons are still there they just might be in a different spot.

I also added a new page dedicated to our Parisian honeymoon. Im particularly proud of the photo collage of Big Ben, Sleeping Beauty's Castle and the Eiffel Tower. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. ;-D

Re: My Wedding Website: Complete with Hidden Mickey

    Congrats!

Ok, so some comments on the site:

Here's my suggestions. You may want to optimize some stuff, start here:
    • Background
—Try breaking up the image a little bit. It is already a tiled image, break it up by making it just a one image tile instead of one image of 5*5 tiles.
    • Content
—Instead of making it all one image, separate it into several. Most browsers can load several images at the same time, but stumble loading one large image. By this I mean:
      1. Make one jpg from the background image
      2. Give each block of text it's own png/gif image, or use a browser specific font.
      3. Links: same as above. Mainly because image maps get messy.

Again, these are just my suggestions. You probably don't want to redo the site, as that is time consuming. I'm gonna take a stab and say you used Dreamweaver?

Anywho, I really like your site. It is very professional and has a nice layout. I also love your textures. Overall, A+ job!

Thanks for the suggestions Kan. While it would take too long and im too lazy to redo anything this far into the game I will see what I can do to make the next I create a little better.

Im just starting to learn Dreamweaver. For this current project I used iPhoto, Photoshop and iWeb.
