Re: So how many "Trick-or-Treaters" did you get at your house?

About 60 to 70 trick or treaters. All the younger ones dressed
up, most with a parent or two. Quite often groups of about 5 at
a time. But most of the older kids didn't dress up.

I'm thinking next year, I might just hand out dum dums to
the kids that don't dress up,a the better candy to the kids
    who do dress up.

Anyone else have kids trick or treating that didn't dress up?

Had 2 or 3 that didn't dress up, they only got 1, while everyone else got a handful, well at least still we started running out.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

I had at least twice as many as last year. I know there are more kids in the complex where I live, but I didn't think there were that many more. I think some of them may have come more than once.

About 75 or so. A lot of Disney characters. A bunch of Darth Vaders and Scream mask guys too.

What's with the realtors and insurance salesmen giving out their cards with the candy??? The kids came in with a small handful of business cards. They said that they were given them with the candy (at least not INSTEAD of). They would have been egged for sure if that was the case.

Are they that hard up for business???

    Happy Halloween!

I couldn't believe it! The pumpkins were all put away, lights were out, it was after 9 and our doorbell rang!! I still gave her some candy, but I couldn't help but say, "It is a bit late."

I did have to break into a 3rd huge bag, but still have most of it left.

5 a total of 5 , one group of 3 and one group of 2. Thats the one thing I hate about living down a lane and over a bridge with only 2 homes on on about 3 acres! Coming from suburbia with hoards of trick or treaters this really bums me out.I miss the Halloween I had when my girls were little with trick or treaters, parties for the girls and haunted houses

I lost count at 63. It was much busier this year than last. We had one cranky lady in the cul-de-sac who yelled at our kids and another generous lady on the main street who gave my daughter an entire bag of M & Ms.

Two beers, three friends, one husband, seven teenagers, three middle schoolers, one elementary schooler, one pre-schooler, a mummy-wrapped hot dog and a Three Musketeers bar rounded out a pretty good evening!
If Jimmy cracked corn and no one cared, why did they write a song about it?

Quiet night at my house. Still have candy left. Too bad it was the best of the worst that was left at the store. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Took my little one out in the neighborhood, not alot of houses participating, but he got enough for a 6 year old.

    It's always me

Five bags of candy plus "rejects" (f'ing raisins ) from the kids' buckets. Maybe 15 doorbell rings and some HUGE groups of kids this year! I'll guess maybe 50 or more kids total. WAY more than ever before. 'Twas fun.
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

    Absolutely Zero!
This is the first time we've been home on Halloween night for over 20 years. It felt really strange, not Halloweeny at all.
What Will I do with that Costco size bag of mini candy bars?
