Oooh, Dmom, you reminded me of records!!!! I have dozens of Disney read-along records, everything from Cinderella to a whole record dedicated to IASW! I would spend HOURS listening and reading the records. I soooo need to find a record player so I can share them with my daughter.

I used to love to watch Land of the Lost. I used to watch it on the black and white TV in my parents bedroom. Dad watched TV in the living room. It was color. No VCRs

Speaking of Disney records, my parents have a Disco Disney record. It's been years since I listened to it but it has songs like "Macho Duck" and a disco version of "It's a small world." I had some great times listening to that record as a kid.

Anyone remember the record players that had plastic records? Used to play nursery rhymes.

    Re: The good old days!!

I miss the days when Saturday morning cartoons still existed. Sure there are some now, but it's not the same. Remember when all 3 major networks showed nothing but cartoons from the time you woke up until around noon? During the week it was all game shows between 9am and noon.

Hehe.. somebody mentioned hungry hungry hippos?! My grandmother bought me that game... My mother said that since she bought it, it had to stay at her house, because she didn't want to listen to that racket all day! lol!

Anybody else take their GI JOE or Star Wars toys outside to play with?! I used to dig elaborate fortresses in the dirt for them. That was when i was by myself, when friends were around we were the characters chasing each other with sticks as swords and broken rake handels as staffs. those were the days...

No way, my mom was smart, she made me keep the Star Wars stuff on a shelf. I have Barbie-sized dolls of both Han and Chewy... I don't even want to think how much they're worth now. Same with my Barbie-sized Donny and Marie dolls!
