    Smile 'Smells' you later

Have you ever gotten a whiff of a smell that instantly reminds you of a time long ago?

For me, certain lemon products remind me of gradeschool, on the playground, eating lemon gummy snacks, and lemonade out of my themus underneath the jungle gym in the warm sun....

Or, how cinnamon takes me back to when I first met E-ticket in highschool, when he used to always chew cinnamon gum....

Or, how pine makes me remember sneaking under the christmas tree early mornings and tearing a peak at christmas presents....

    What smells make you remember?
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

OK, you do know you are opening up a hauge can of worms here that is bound to head straight for the gutter, right?
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

I don't remember...I know I have some...I just can't....think of them. It's kind of a spontaneous thing, I smell it, then it comes to me, then I forget all about it.

My classic peanuts comics that I have inherited smell like 50 years ago if you know what I mean.

But you want to know the most nausiating smell I ever smelled? Okay I was in this tiny building that sells old books (so you have the old book smell), then at the same time the employees smoked cigars inside (so you have the cigar smoke smell now mixing in with the old book smell) and it was always ver cold inside (which made the cigar and old boox smalle mixture even worst). I mean I really had a headache because of it.

My head was already in the gutter once I read the thread title.

Funny... the other day G and I were SOMEWHERE (I can't remember where) and itsmelled JUST like my grandprents farm. It was totally freaky.

On ocassion i'll smell oil and it'll remind me of their John Deere tractors.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

The faint smell of vanilla reminds me of a shampoo i used to love as a kid. And then that reminds of growing up in my old house.

The heavy smell of chlorine reminds me of swimming in my grandmother's pool as a kid. Those were some great summers.

My grandmother's garden is rhe first place I remember experiencing the fragrant scent of roses and othe flowers. Hence, whenever I smell flowers, it brings me back to her garden.

Whenever a can of worms is opened, the stench is not unlike that of organic waste products. Upon smelling organic waste products, I automatically think of Phil Donahue.

The funky moldy Chlorine smell always makes me and my oldest say "it smells like POTC"

There's a certain detergent/fab soft/old folk combo that I can't get right but it smells like sheets/blankeys from my granpa's house
