    Oh no! Not Another Alliance!

Ok folks. After I post you are free to throw rocks, sticks, and churros at me (Wiat...I love churros! Throw some of those at me PLEASE!! LOL). I have decided to create a MiceChat alliance! Yeah, yeah I know there are some people out there that despise such things but I wanted to do something original. This alliance is in response to the "Welcome to Cheer season" thread so I will take all responsibility for the obvious counter alliance formed after this post.

I feel that cheerleaders are some of the most unappreciated people out there. They were at least when I was in High School. They work and practice very hard and get pretty much no recognition at all. In fact I felt the attitude towards them was completely negative. I guess that Is why I ranted in the beforementioned thread. Cheerleaders practice long hours every day, perform difficult routines-making them look easy, donate any extra time to wonderful charitable causes, and are always there to push their team to greater heights at all times of day/in all types of weather.

I have always admired cheerleaders for the above. I wanted to be one in school but was not born with the physical ability needed (and no I am not gay please don't take it that way). This is why I have decided to start the M-C-A-A (MiceChat Cheerleaders Appreciation Alliance)-Okay if there is a better name I could use I am open to discussion on that. It is open to all people who appreicate Cheerleaders and those who are/have been one. I don't have the skills to create a graphic but I guess we can burn that bridge when we get there.

Ok-You are now free to chuck stuff in my general direction, give me bad rep, throw churros, etc LOL

My four year old plans to be a cheerleader when she grows up. She takes her gymnastics classes extremely seriously already! It's definitely a physical sport!

You know I heard that half of cheerleaders are males. That was interesting.

I won't chuck anything at you and I do commend your appreciation for what they do, but one thing you also fail to state or acknowledge, outside their tough routines and hours of practice, is why they have suck arrogant attitudes. I know I am not the only one who feels this way, but the majority of cheerleaders are some of the most conceited people around and you cannot say that they are not. They are cocky and very superficial. But, like you , i also have an opinion and hope you respect me for it, whether you agree with me or not. I also agree that there are some good cheerleaders at heart.

I do respect your opinion, Tenor.

I may be ignorant (or don't get out enough) but the only arrogent cheerleaders I have ever seen are on TV and in movies. While movies such as Bring It On have brought the sport into the mainstream, they also paint cheerleaders into a negative light. The males are cast as homosexuals and the girls are all mean, arrogent, selfish, and conceited (as you have described them).

Now of course not all cheerleaders are what I have made them out to be. However I think it is just that a few bad apples have spoiled the whole bunch IMO.

I feel as though you have MET my four year old. She's the most conceited and shallow four year old on the planet. She's just going to strengthen the cheerleader stereotype for you.
