    The color of lights

We just finished decorating outside for Christmas, and my mom chose blue and white lights this year. Somehow I think that gives a kind of sad vibe. I personally go for either multicolor or like, all red lights. Blue is too dull. What's your preferred lighting choice and why?

I like multicolored lights, it's just what I've grown up seeing every Christmas and when I see them it just yells out Christmas time!

I don't like lights on homes. i don't use lights, but at DL they used to have a blue and white tree...or maybe it was just blue, but I liked it..

Multicolored is my favorite unless they are the icicle lights, then I'd prefer them to be all white.

    Re: The color of lights

I do not put up christmas lights outside, because I don't have anywhere to plug them in, but if I did, they would definitely be multi colored.

When my grandson was about 2 years old, we drove around with him one night and just enjoyed watching him "Oooohing and Aaaahhing over the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations.

    Re: The color of lights

I got creative this weekend and have new designer
Christmas Tree ! (designed by moi)

Started off with some really cool red, orange, yellow, purple
glittery ornaments from Target. Found some matching smaller
glittery ornaments in the same colors and orange and red beads
at K-Mart. Also found some orange hand detailed ornaments
at Crown Import (a phoenix shop that specializes in year round
    decorations and artificial plants).

Couldn't find a shimmery gold artificial tree that I wanted to match the ornaments (and partly in celebration of DL's 50th), SO i purchased a small white artificial tree at Walgreens, and a can of shiny gold spray
paint at Michaels, then I returned to Target to purchase a string
of mini-lights with a gold, clear, and frosted white combination,
and a mini string of gold garland with stars. VOILA!!!!! My own mini Gold
    x-mas tree for DL's 50th~~~

HEY!!! Has anyone else done a tree somewhat similar for DL's 50th?
(I can't be the only nut on these boards that has!!!)
