    Tell Us About New Jersey

The state of New Jersey is called The Garden State. It ranks 46th in land area and 9th in population. The population is about 8.6 million people. The largest city is Newark and the capital is Trenton. The distance between Disneyland and New Jersey is not listed on my chart, but I am guessing it is about 2800 miles.

Well for anyone living in the state of New Jersey, you now have bragging rights. It's time to tell us all you can about the state of New Jersey.

    Schools http://www.nea.org/goodnews/nj01.html or http://www.nea.org
I was born and raised here in NJ... lived in several different locations throughout the state. From the city to the country I've loved each location I think you could find our state motto "New Jersey and You, Perfect Together" true

I love living here in NJ because you can have it all... the beaches, the mountains, the city all within an hours drive. We experience all 4 seasons below zero temps to 100+ with lots of humidity. Fall foliage and the beautiful new beginnings in spring.

The Soprano's does a LOT of filming in my town

Northern NJ usually routes for NY teams and Southern NJ usually route for Philly teams

We have the New Jersey Devil

New Jersey tends to be a BLUE state when it comes to politics and we're known for our last Governor to nationally admit he is a homosexual.... I actually lived next door to this man for many years while he was our towns Mayor and would still vote for him today.

Oh I could go on forever

Turnpike drivers are the SCARIEST drivers, ever! You think L.A. drivers are bad? HA HA HAHAHA!!!

My favrotie job EVER was in a teeny tiny NJ town called Madison. I was a nanny for two wonderful little kids. The town was SO cute and adorable. We used to walk to the library. And drive, drive drive to all the other cute little towns nearby. That year was the last year I had a real fall.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

New Jersey gets a bad rap, but I think it is a very lovely state and I wouldn't mind living there (we nearly did - Summit). Madison is adorable. And wasn't Morristown the winter headquarters for George Washington during the Revolutionary War? There's a museum there?

Re: Tell Us About New Jersey

the New Jersey Devils are my second favorite hockey team, they were my favorite from the time the North Stars left Minnesota and the Wild started.

I also have very fond memories of Atlantic City when I was little, same trip we went on the Cape May-Lewes ferry, kinda cool, but yes Camden scared me too.
