Ours was the bone dry turkey we made on Thanksgiving. I felt bad for my family so I made it up to them by taking them out to their favorite restaurant the next night.
And I am really glad no one ever gives me fruitcake. I hate that stuff!

hey, now cut that out!! fruit cake is food of the Gods!! ( or in my case good stuff to me !
Moms dressing, it tasted like glue YUCK
My mom's fudge. She brought a batch over for Christmas Eve dinner and it tasted like FRUIT. Fudge should taste like fudge, not fruit. It was gross. Then later at dinner, everyone was complimenting my turkey and mashed potatoes, my salad and rolls.... and my mom said I'd learned it all from her. My mom. The only condiment/spice she's ever used is salt. All her food is white, bland, ick. I was so offended by her comment.![]()
I HATE anything and everything with Cranberries![]()
The snack pack on the flight out to Chicago.
My first batch of snickerdoodles. Apparently my cream of tartar was bad and they were like flat cinnimon cunchy pancakes. Gross. Got some new cream of tartar and the next batch was awesome!
The green bean casserole in our pre-packaged Xmas dinner was pretty gross too. Made with frozen green beans. I hate frozen green beans.

You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.
Pickles!!!

We went to a New Years' Day Southern Buffet and it was very good although one of the hosts when announcing the food said that he had to put a little more vinegar on the pigs' feet to clean out "that stuff between their little toes."
I was behind him in line and got to the feet and asked about them and he said they really are an acquired taste. Having had pickled ones all my life and never confronted with these warm things I took the tiniest piece I could find since I'll try anything once. Well, it was pretty awful and after one chomp I had to swallow it whole to get rid of it since I wasn't in a position to get rid of it other than spit it back on the plate, onto the patio or into the pool.
Everything was good this Holiday season, can't always say that, but this year I can!!!! Woohoo!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,it's what they are like in their HEART!

Green bean casserole must always be made with canned beans. You're makin' white trash food, you gotta use white trash ingredients. I love that stuff and make it every holiday!Originally Posted by a_hyperbole
