    What happened to Dick Clark??

I read in the newspaper he was gong to be making a come back this year. I watched the darn show hoping to get a glimpse but no luck, any one know why he did not show up this year? I know he had had a stroke, but they said he would be back this year to show everyone he is doing well. darn it! I miss him.

He was there near the end Karla, he didn't say much this time. Probably because he isn't up to it yet. He sounded pretty bad, I felt sorry for the guy.

He still doesn't look at that great to me. My guess is the stroke may have had some perminent effects.

Where do you live? Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve was on ABC (unless your affiliate chose not to have it). He was not in the primetime portion, just the Midnight portion. He looked great but his speech was very slurred (but good considering the stroke).

I agree, I'm watching him on the tv right now. Speech is slurred, but he looked pretty good.

He does look good. His speech has been affected. I was feeling sad for him, but I'm glad he is with us to celebrate!!

It appeared that the left side of his body was affected. he kept his left hand out of sight for the most part. I am sure he is still in intensive rehab. You have to admire him. It took a lot of courage for him to return to television.

For anyone who didn't see, this is what Clark looked like yesterday...

And just as a comparison, this is Clark a while back
