Hollister stores SUCK!

Ok I heard about the whole "Girlcott" thing with people boycotting Abercrombie and Fitch because of the whole Blonde Brunette, giving females a bad reputation and all that jazz. And I thought and still do think that the whole effort was bull. Girls wear what they want to wear nobody is forcing them to wear that crap, if they want to let them.

My issue is somewhat similar...I was actually disgusted with the crap that the Hollister store sells. The worst one said something along the lines of "Maybe if you lost a few"

WHAT THE HELL? Now what kind of message is that sending to people who read the shirt? We have enough people starving themselves and barfing after meals! And thats just the tip of the iceberg...other shirts promoted sex, implying that it would make people cool.

I am normally not a prude...but I hate all stores like Hollister. The crap they are selling nowadays...I tell ya

I agree. Not to mention their clothes look like somthing thats 5 years old from my closet. Everything there is faded and as rips in them and they charge like 30 bucks for that crap. Personally, im a bit of a classy person. I prefer stores like Mens Wharehouse, geoffry bean, or Macys

I went up to a girl at my school who was wearing a Jean Skirt, that was full of rips and really really short.

I walked up to her with a five dollar bill in hand and said "here's five bucks, maybe you can buy the rest of that skirt" she got pissy and walked away.

Honestly short skirts, in Minnesota, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ******** WINTER!

Ok now don't get me started on stores like this (Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch etc.) It is pretty insane to me to pay the prices these stores charge for clothing where the material is under par. The mesages expressed on shirts and such is just another issue.
The only reason why these sell is because this is what is "in" this is what is fashionable to wear in some circles predominately young caucasion males and females (which is a whole other issue).
I am 19 years old and this stuff doesnt appeal to me. I personally think I can still be fashionable and more efficiently use my money at an Old Navy or Aeropostale thank you very much = )

I don't mind shopping american eagle and abercrombie, for like a pair of jeans or something (Even though I think American Eagle Jeans suck because they wear out really fast, Aeropostale, in my opinion has the best jeans) but I just refuse to shop at Hollister. SMUT thats all it is, SMUT!

I think whoever shops there has poor taste in how to spend their money. Not only do they promote identical looks for all boys and girls, and no individuality whatsoever, the clothes dont serve any logical purpouse. And they charge twice as much! I get compiments on my clothes all the time, and I shop at Target

Target is the BOMB-DIGGITY when it comes to clothes! Their stuff is cheaply priced and the quality is great. Not to mention they have some of the most original and hard to find styles there. YAY FOR TARGET!

I don't like Hollister for a different reason.

One time I was at the mall and decided to look around in there. I saw this top I liked but the only one they had in my size was on a mannequin. Now, every other store I've shopped at, if I like something but the only one in my size is ont he mannequin, they'll take it off and put a different size on there so they could make a sale. Would they do that at Hollister? No! WTF? I responded with, "I guess you don't want my money bad enough then, " and walked out.

It's so dark and cramped in those stores too. How the hell can you see what you're trying to buy?

A&F is the devil, and Hollister is the bastardized son of A&F, making it that more evil and disgusting.

I shop Aeropostale, Gap, and Nautica. Go me.

It's scary though, that these stores are all connected. We love the poorer brothers and sisters of these evil stores. A&F owns Aeropostale. Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy are all the same company. And I don't know the exact lineage and who they belong to, but I know AE and Hollister are also connected to another store. And what's frightening...Abercrombie now has another store in it's chain that is HIGHER....less clothes for more money. There's only one store right now and that's in San Francisco, but it's insane to see how much people will pay just to be a walking advertisment. Target for me, baby!!
