From what I read, it wasn't cancelled, but it was a huge mistake that they all got launched at once.
In any case, I'd love to see this kind of thing happen at Disneyland. I want to see the lights try and keep up with the explosions and have the music sped up too. And then play it all back in slow motion and see how well it lines up.
This reminds me of when they cancel the fireworks at DL. I remember hearing the disappointed moan of coming up from the crowd...and laughing!

in the video look closely at 00:32 seconds, the firework shell on the left behind the tree went too low and too soon.
it's clearly missing when it was supposed to go off at 00:36 seconds. they blamed it on the wind but really, it was just a technical problem but don't want to admit that.
