Plans For Titanic Replica To Set Sail In 2016

Billionaire Building Titanic Replica: Maiden Voyage 2016 [Video]

Titantic II Replica to Recreate Titanic Journey | TIME.com

Have between $50,000 and a cool $million to drop on a new Titanic voyage? Most people would have to sink pretty deep in their pockets to come up with that kind of cash. The ill-fated ship replica will ride the icy cold waves along the original 1912 route from South Hampton to New York City....NEW YORK CITY!? Everything about the design will be dupicated, and guests will even be treated to period meals, and the option of wearing costume clothing, supplied curtesy of the ship company. Wonder if Leonardo Dicaprio will be there for photo ops and autographs.

The billionair owner does not want us to sweat over this journey though. After all, it will be fully equipped with all of todays state-of-the-art technology, including radar, separate bulkheads to contain water breaches, and modernised lifeboats for everyone....even the band. This time, the ship will be -yes exactly what you were thinking - UNSINKABLE! Hopefully, the historically accurate ship will not end the voyage with complete accuracy.

All things taken into consideration, it does sound like a fun adventure. The plans are for the ship to take many cruises. The maiden voyage will be the most expensive. I think I'd bring my own periodic clothes as I don't think I'd want to wear outfits that a lot of people had worn on previous trips.

Well if it was my time, then it was my time. But What an opportunity to step onto a ship and go back in time, no matter how the "movie" ended :P

Titanic II is the ultimate dark ride....a much deeper storyline and fathoms ahead of the rest!

Don't worry, I'll give you my spot on the lifeboats should a hero be needed.

Along with being fathoms ahead of the average dark ride, Titanic II: The Ride has a much deeper storyline. Everybody bring your own bucket, just in case there's a bail out party.

I'd be more worried if it was someone ELSE's time, and I was just a casualty! Lol

ah... The Titanic testing the fates again....

pretty dang cool though to have a chance to live some history. Being a huge history nerd, I would love to have the experience. And hopefully, it wouldn't be my last.

I see your point. If I am to explore the ocean depths, I would rather it be with diving gear or in a submariene.

Glad that you have a sense of adventure, especially where experiencing history first hand is concerned. I salute you as a fellow brave soul determined to get the most out of life! I'm down with the Titanic (not literally )!

One cannot stress enough the importance of "fathoming" this adventure as a one-of-a-kind E-ticket water ride!
