Show me your Disney Halloween costume for yourself or your children?

While I'm starting off with some NON-Disney costumes, I'm a stickler for continuity... I have to start at Halloween 1...

As our oldest was due on Halloween, and missed it by a couple days... first halloweeen was when she was nearly a year old. For whatever reason she was a lobster (she was called shrimp in utero), so a larger shrimp is a lobster..

    2007:

The next year... a flamingo... yeah... I'm not sure...

    2008:

Up the next year... Belle and Mrs. Pots!! Now we are getting it..

    2009:

2010 was in the parks (our first DLR trip as an adult family). Oldest is Alice... next youngest... Cheshire Cat...

    2010:

2011... Again, we were in the parks for the oldest's birthday.

She was originally slated to be Ariel... that wasn't park-friendly

2012... Only 1 Disney-esque costume... newborn born in October made for lack of costume making...

2013.... Coming soon to a message board near you...

Two years ago, we went to the Halloween party, and DD was Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. This year, she will be Sofia the First, but I don't have a photo of her all dressed up yet.

Re: Show me your Disney Halloween costume for yourself or your children?

Your children are adorable!!!! Love the flamingo costume!!!

I don't have any children of my own....so I just have pictures of myself, sorrrrrry

First, here's me dressed as Snow White. This was the first Halloween at my previous job. I wasn't going to dress up this particular year, but at the last minute picked up this dress at a local costume shop. I hated it, personally. It wasn't an "authentic" Disney/SW costume, so it wasn't completely accurate. And, it was very ill-fitting. Nevertheless, it was a hit and since then I was called Snow White. Would love to get a proper SW dress made soon!!

Two years later, Cruella de Vil. I already owned the black dress, the coat was made for me (the dalmation trim is actually from kids costumes I picked up from the thrift store!). I'm pretty sure I won best costume this year

In 2011 I dressed as The Queen of Hearts. The dress again was made for me, I did the crown and my dad fashioned the awesome flamingo!!

Last year I was the Original Mousketeer...Annette! This was my costume at home and at the DL Halloween Party. I knew I wanted to be a Mousketeer, and my middle name IS Annette (I was named after her so...), so it just made sense I got a lot of positive feedback, especially from CMs!!! One CM actually dropped to his knees and did an "I"m not worthy!!!!" to me! Ego = inflated.

    As far as non-Disney costumes....

I've done Dorothy one year...The dress was custom made, and I think I got a best costume award
    for this one too

One particular year my costume didn't have a theme. I dressed all in black, put on my vintage black hat with netting, and put together an elaborate story of a housewife killing her husband, lol. When I was tired of telling my fake story, I just said I was Mrs. White from the movie Clue.....only the cool people knew who I was when I said that ....and I don't have a picture!!!

This year's costume won't be Disney-themed. And I'm planning on going to a Halloween party at the parks but I'm not sure what I'm doing yet (my friends and I are thinking about dressing as Lock, Shock and Barrel from NBC).

That's awesome that you recognized that. The wife is a big sewer/crocheter. The Cheshire cat outfit was entirely crocheted (and a bit warm being yarn).

Love that!!! I must have the wife fashion her one... OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!

I'm going to dress up for Halloween this year (Indiana Jones). Last time I dressed up for halloween was in the 1980s, so this is a big step for me. Given my prop-fixation, it must be screen accurate, so I've been putting it together for months... Will post a pic. I suspect I will win the work costume contest (provided I'm still working there at Halloween).

I don't have a photo to share here, but whoever and TanyAnnette, I just wanted to say that your costumes are amazing. The fact that those were handmade just blows me away. Bravo.
Merida looks like this. Not a Barbie doll!

Off topic, but I heard on the radio on the way home that the AZ state fair coming up will have a huge starwars display of original/screen used items (or so they claimed). You may want to check it out.

Since it's your thread and you started the diversion - I'm continuing it!

One of my coworkers told me about the star wars thing, too! I looked for it but only saw info about a Star Trek exhibit, which I'd still be totally into.

Speaking of Star Wars and costumes (see what I did there? Back on track!) - my husband and I are having Jedi costumes made for the Star Wars celebration in 2015. We're trying to fit all the "requirements" set forth by some organization. The baby will be going along, as well, likely as an Ewok.

I was Merida last year and I thought it was pretty cool. I tried to attach a picture but I am not sure it is going to work...

Edit: Nope it didn't. Well part of it is my avatar.

I have a Sorcerer's Apprentice costume that I bought at DL years ago. I might be going to one of the Halloween parties at DL, but I am not sure I am going to wear it. For starters, I think it might be in storage. I am never going to find it in time, lol! It's an awesome costume though.
