Realy Hard Questions: Can YOU answer them?

It it time for thejoshualee to expose another one of his obsessions: Collecting obscure pieces of Trivia!

This is how it works: I post 10 questions. Hard questions... You make an attempt at answering them. I will then tell you how many of the 10 you got correct. I won't tell you which ones you got correct, just the number.

Also... try to figure it out on your own. We are on the honor system not to use a search site like Google.

The first one to get them all correct gets a reward*

EDIT: on the advice of my wife, I WILL say which answers are correct and who got them. so... everyone gets a reward* for any right answer.

(By the way, all my trivia questions are backed up by at least 5 sources.)

    1. What does the current Dali Lama have in common with Marie Osmond?
Among other things.... they both have siblings in Orem, UT... Lousy question... My bad!

    2. When test-tasting red wine, what does a brownish hue indicate?

    5. What is the Western Low-Land Gorilla's Latin name?
Gorilla gorilla gorilla (finally, working at the zoo comes in handy!) -a_hyperbole

    6. What does the word 'Atari' mean in Japanese?
    Success- Frumious Boojum

    7. What is the longest English surname that has no hyphenations?
    Featherstonehaugh - Frumiousboojum

    8. Who invented the cat door?

    3. Which President of the United States slept through most of their term?

None! There was a rumor of a man who was president for one day and slept all day, but that was an urban legend. The mans name was David Rice Atchinson. Here is the snopes link: http://www.snopes.com/history/american/atchison.htm

Is that the answer you were looking for?

Those were the only two I thought I could answer. Anyway, was I right about the David Rice presidency? I heard the story for a long time, but only looked to snopes for his name.....believe me I didn't cheat

How bout the Rice Crispies one, was I right on that?

I would answer all the question but know I would get them wrong.

I was thinking that too. The 30 day president was the 13th president, William Henry Harrison, if I am correct. I believe he got sick on his 14th day off office after continuously refusing to wear his coat in the cold. Then 14-15 days later he died.

Pardon the derail, but I've been a fan of snopes.com since its inception. David and Barbara Mikelson are very thorough in their research. While I can accept they might be wrong sometimes, no way are they "wrong a lot".

Actually it was my father that did that. My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament

well, assuming you got the rest of the quesions wrong... you got those wrong as well. The answer isn't David Rice Atcheson.... it's a double trick eh?
