Re: Interesting new real estate site

Whats really amazing to look at is the 10 year market value graph. It was steady up until the last 18 months, then went from around $80,000 to $214,000 just in that last year and a half!!!! Insane!!!!

In suburban Toronto you can get a 4600 sq ft 2 story home (plus basement so add say 2000 sq ft "future expansion" on a minimum 70 ft lot with a 3+1 tandem (triple car wide, one is 2 deep for 3 car garage) for less then your , 3.5 bath, 5 bdrm with 2 stair cases, loaded to the 9s (typical granite countertops, min 9 foot ceilings, some 2 or 3 story high ceilings) for uh less then your triple wide.

You silly west coast americans you.

Yes, but we don't have to plug our cars into the wall at night to keep the engine block from freezing.

Its all about the trade off.

For the record, we have a 3700sqft, 6bed/4bath, in Temecula/Murrieta, was around $250k brand new in 2001... zillow.com says its now worth $678k!!!!! According to the graph, the value went from $450k to $678k in the past year!

Get Firefox. I have a Mac and have both Safari and Firefox just for such an occasion.

My daughter and her fiance feel the same way. We are all thinking the only way they will ever have enough to even make a down payment on anything is if both sets of parents all die off at the same time and leave them everything.

Haha... it says our condo's worth about $20K more than we're paying for it, LOL

Of course, I know what the six available ones are listed at, so I know it's overstating.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Re: Interesting new real estate site

Our house is not as accurate. It took the base information about the house from the builder to calculate square footage and number of bedrooms. We are hoping to get $475k to $500k when we sell our house this summer. We purchased the house new in 2002 for $201k.

Of course, we will have a much bigger mortgage when we move to Santa Clarita. Between the equity and Nathan's substantial raise at his new job, we will be able to afford the increase.

I looked up our old house in Colorado. We purchased it in 1998 for $122k and sold it in 2001 for $173k. The current zestimate on it is $187k. Looks like we made a wise decision.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

Don't wait to buy your dream house! Buy something, buy anything, buy a fixer. Fix it up and sell after 2 years (not before, because of income taxes, check with your tax person), keep trading up until you get your dream house. The sooner you buy anything, the sooner you start accrueing equity and can take advantage of increasing prices, instead of just watching prices go up.
