Is there a wannabe Dr. in the house?

I am sick and Im sure if you havent heard by now Im a sissy when Im sick so youll hear me whine alot about being sick...
I can take alot of abuse but when I get sick I turn into a crybaby.

Anyways, Ive been asking my folks what is good for a cold / ear infection (both ears) and a massive sore throat.

Well mom said to gargle with tequilla for the sore throat and grandma said gargle with salt water. Also for the ear infection, to take cotton balls with rubing alcohol on them and place them in my ears.... why?

So what does your Grandma/mom/tia/nanna say is good for it, Id like to hear the most bizare home remedies.

    Sickly yours,
    Mr.Doodah AAAAHHH CHOOOO!

ok the first thing to do is get down to The Eye Of The Cat 3314 E. Broadway in Long Beach

get 3 oz of sore throat tea (its yummy!)

    3oz of coltsfoot
    3oz of plreurisy root
and i cant remember the name of the herb good for infections ask them

put the coltsfoot and pluresy root in a coffee maker and drink it thru the day..the herb for infections is nasty tasting so use HONEY in it, not sugar cause sugar is refined and will not work with the herbs.. and make the sore throat tea by itself..I guanentee you will be better inside of a week..

while i was home i never used over the counter crap (it never worked as well as the herbs) the eye of the cat was my second home and i kept a herb cupboard for colds n infections....best stuff in the world!

and if you happen to catch the owner judy in have her to help you with what you need she is an awesome lady and she will fix you right up!

Re: Is there a wannabe Dr. in the house?

I heard that if you work hard, you recover faster by "Sweating it out". I know that when I work hard, my cold becomes the least of my worries. Sometimes taking a show can open up your insides for a little while.

I tried to gargle salt water, but it didn't do anything for my throat.

Other than that I took much Vitamic C and that worked wonders for me honestly. I did much better than that asprin stuff. I usually took a vitamin C pill with a cup of grape juice...So therefore I got twice the amount of Vitamin C.

But if you have some mucus that you just can't get at in the back of your throat, sometimes, for me, a little bit of soda, clears that out just right.
