What to read to pre-K children

Hey everyone. I've been asked to go read various childrens books at a few schools in my area on Thrusday. Apparently its a community service thing that my job does. Can anyone give me any titles of some good books to read for pre-kindergarden kids?

Can't go wrong with Dr. Seuss..but they've probably heard them all before.

Head to the public library and ask the children's librarian...she'll/he'll be able to pull all the new Pre-K age range books for you!

I love reading to little kids!
    Us girls, we're so magical.
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable.
    Hard to resist, so touchable.
    Too good to deny it.
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent.

I was thinking maybe Katie, The Caboose That Got Loose, or Goodnight Moon.

Quick as a Cricket was my favorite in those pre-K days.

The Giving Tree is also a good standby but I don't know if the audience is right for that one.
"But every night, when it gets dark
    and the stars come out,
I'll look up on her behalf.
I'll look up in the sky and think of you."

What a sweet thing to do!!!!

My daughter LOVED "Go Away Big Green Monster"!

And as previously mentioned, you can't go wrong with Dr. Seuss.

Another great book is called "Socks for Supper". Its a good story about doing good deeds and good things will happen to you (kharma lessons for preschoolers)!
