I'm going to Knotts tomorrow night!

Haven't been to Knotts since 2001. Feb 2001 to be exact !!!! Is that 5 years?

The big question is how much time will I need. I'm definitely buying the 4-10 pm ticket $22.50 for Saturday night, but beyond that ????

I'm not much of a thrill ride person. I'm just going for the Log Ride, the Mine Ride, maybe Big Foot and that Parachute thing.

Other than that, I just like to browse the Junction, Glass Blower and Gun Shop etc....

Just not that much to do that would justify anything more than the 6 hours on Saturday Evening, but then again......

I'm doing the Mrs. Knotts Brunch on Sunday ! Maybe I'll want to linger ????

Well the Parachute thing is gone ... so you can scratch that off of your list.

If your not big on thrills then I say 4 hours will be PLENTY. And that may be pushing it.

    Let's see, shows....

Mystery Lodge (Amazing), that is a half hour

The Wild West Stunt Show, another half hour

Calico Saloon Show, another 25 min

The Camp Snoppy Days kids show, if you want to see that, about another 20 minutes

The Native Indian Dancing show, another 30 minutes.

And then there is the the Country Line Dancing they offer on weekends.

    Classic attractions...

    The Stagecoach

    The Mine Train Ride

    The Log Ride.

    The Steam Locomotive

Walking around Ghost Town, and checking the shops, and the Museum, plus other stuff.

Don't like roller coasters, how about some flat rides, such as the Bumper Cars..

    The Sky Tower.

Like River Rapids rides? Bigfoot Rapids is a good one, about the same as GRR.

Jaguar is a mild family coaster.

Seems like much more than 4 hours to me....

FYI, if you want to get in the park before 4 PM, stop by a Del Taco, you can get a coupon for admission for just $24.95, and that is an All Day admission.

    No parachute?

I saw some tall thing in the sky driving down Beach a couple of months ago....was that Supreme Scream?

Thanks Darkbeer ! But, I think $22.50 for the after-4 tickets, should do me---love those after-4s.

4-10 pm on Saturday is 6 hours right there.

But, I may extend things and do 4-7 on Sunday, if I really want more time.

I'm not expecting heavy crowds on Sunday due to the awards, so that extra three hours should be good for me, if needed.

^ You'd think that the awards would drive people away, but you'd be surprised.

Oh good. This is very helpful. Too much trouble to keep clicking at the Knotts site.

Yes, everything but the Indian Dancing.....which I couldn't care less about, and line dancing......no no no (although I do like square dancing) !!!

As for the classic attractions: I normally do like Bigfoot, much more than GRR.....but I've been ill and don't know how wet I wanna get, then again if it's raining anyway.....and considering I'm definitely doing Timber Mountain.....maybe...

    Jaguar is a possibility.

OK, that does it. Maybe I will stop by Del Taco after all!

Yikes, I haven't been in a "Del Taco" in over 10 years, maybe 20 ! That, alone will be strange. Do they still make the quesadillas?

Yes, Supreme Scream is the major drop ride at Knott's. It is an S&S drop tower, the same manufacture as Maliboomer at DCA.

But much better IMHO, almost twice the actual ride height, a drop profile instead of a power shot (goes slowly up, hangs at the top for a few seconds, and then drops fast and has a few bounces, and NO Scream Shields, I hate those things on Maliboomer!!!

Yes, one of my favorites is the Combo that has Two regular Tacos, a Quesadilla and a drink, if you go to the medium size (I think Large), then you get a bigger drink, and a extra taco. Don't go Macho on this combo!

I LOVE Tuesday Taco Nites, 3 tacos for $1.09, great deal....

I think Del Taco is still my favorite fast food place.

Great Taco's, Burrito's, Quesadilla's and probably the best Burgers this side of In N' Out.
