For a price of course. I remember being frustrated in the early rounds last year because they always cut away for the West coast teams here in SoCal. Well...MOST of the time we don't WANT to see the West coast teams. We want to see the GOOD teams! (ouch...)

Day number one, and my bracket is already a shambles. Syracuse going down early is a shocker.

I've had five teams go down in flames so far. We'll see how I do tomorrow.

I agree with the exception of a UCLA game being shown in the LA area or Cal in the Bay Area. Otherwise we're pretty much a mix of transplants from all over the place, so the CBS thing about geography in picking games to be shown here doesn't always work.

So how is everyone doing so far? In the pool I am in I am in third place after day one of the first round. Of course it might be downhill from here. We'll see. LOL

I am 9 of 16 at this point. Decent, better than some years. I got blindsided by two upsets. I love March!
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

Cool Re: The "Official" 2006 March Madness NCAA Tournament Thread

NW State hits an incredible shot at the buzzer as brackets across the nation come crashing down like shards of glass. That's why we watch this tournament every year. What drama!

I'm tied for third too, BD. Of course, a good 85% of people are in first through third place so... I'm just happy my 5-12 match was the correct one
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    My Final four:

    Duke
    UCLA
    Connecticut
Florida (toughest one to decide on)

Conn. wins it all. So far I am not doing too bad--the teams I have lost I only picked to win a game. You have to keep the final 8 intact for the first weekend to have a chance. So far this is shaping up to be a great tournament with so many low seeds playing well and several getting the upset. That shot Northwestern St. just hit to knock out Iowa was amazing.

Best sporting event of the year!
    Go Cougars!

Congrats on that pick, BD. NeverNever, who claimed this week to know little about the tournament, is third. I, who think knows at least something, am 23rd and 25th with my two entries.

So far I'd say in general that I've overestimated the Big 10, and underestimated the Pac 10 a bit. My original final four pick: Duke, UConn, Florida, UCLA with UConn beating UCLA. (Hope I'm wrong about the last part.)

    Long live March Madness.

I just lost Arkansas and Iowa this morning. Stinkin miracle last second buzzer beating three pointer. I hate it when that happens. But it's fun to watch, even if it kills my brakcet. Halfway through the second day and I've already lost 7. I still have Duke, Uconn, Gonzaga (feeling more iffy now) and Boston going to the final four, with Uconn taking it all. Didn't have to work today, so my tv has been on since 9am.

Re: The "Official" 2006 March Madness NCAA Tournament Thread

On behalf of all of us here on the West coast, I would like to personally thank CBS for screwing us out of one the best games of the day. We got to see Cal lose to NC State while I'm assuming the EAST coast got to see Uconn almost get knocked off by Albany...who was leading by TWELVE in the second half!! Someone needs to tell CBS sports that WE DON'T CARE ABOUT TEAMS THAT AREN'T GOING TO MAKE IT TO THE SWEET 16. Texas would have killed either team. (NC state ranking 51, Cal is 55 vs. Uconn coming in at NUMBER THREE!! HELLO!! )

My suggestion: HAVE US TAKE AN ONLINE POLL ON SELECTION SUNDAY! If 90 percent of us West Coasters want to see a game, which most of us did, they should be OBLIGATED to SHOW IT!! OTHERWISE....Give the NCAA tournament to a network that would do a better job...i.e. ESPN!!

(Steps off soap box and tries to get pulse back under control....)

I HATE it when broadcasting companies do that! You'd think they were trying to throw away ratings when Sportsnet broadcast a Canucks vs. Penguins game instead of a Calgary vs. Oilers (which was shown in Edmonton incidentily).

`Although I have a festering hate for ESPN, I would guess that they would do a better of broadcasting March Madness then CBS.
