    How's this?

Talon is such a brat, heheh. He went to work in an orange shirt today.

As for me, I'm actually doing laundry IN THE MORNING this morning, just so I can wear my green sweater (well, that and the fact that basically all my work tops are dirty at this point). Going to see the Poxy Boggards tonight.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Well, technically, Orange is an acceptable colour for St. Patrick's Day, too.

You see, It all depends on what part of the country your family came from. Green is merely the catholic side. Orange is the colour adopted by the protestant side.

Or, at least that's what I've been told. Who knows if it's true? I think I'll alternate to be on the safe side.

    Sinn Féin/Tiocfaidh ár lá
Sinn Fein is Ireland's fastest-growing political movement. Irish Republicans work for lasting peace and justice in Ireland with sustainable social and economic development, genuine democracy, participation, equality and justice for all.
Tiocfaidh ár lá Meaning "Our day will come." Interesting info on this.
1st Amendment-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I was just reading yesterday how "Irishness" is an invented concept. But it's so much fun!!!

I use purple because yesterday was a made-up Finnish holiday- St. Urho's Day. He chased all the grasshoppers out of Finland, so we celebrate March 16 and wear purple and green!

Hey, I don't want to be pinched! I'm wearing green, does that count?

I'll be at the Boggards concert tonight. Should be a sea of green.

Cool Re: Typing O' The Green...Or the Official St. Patrick's Day Thread

St. Patrick's Day has always been special to me. While Mam's side of the family is Norwegian-Papa's side is Irish (my last name is Donegan). It was a March 17th when I was very little that I learned the signifcance of my name. the first king of Ireland's name was Brian. I was named after him.
