Just bought the Big Fig Castle...

Low and behold it comes with batteries, but no instructions..??? How do I turn it on??? Anyone know where the switch is??? Anyone know what it does??? I presume it lights up. If someone happens to be in the Park soon, maybe you could swing by Disneyana and ask???

    Any help would be appreciated!

Hi the battery compartment is underneath and is a BIG pain to put the batteries in , thought for sure I was going to break something and of course I was subborn and wanted down NOW and did it myself.
The switch is on the right side facing on the side of the castle under the box shapped cut tree. It lights up beautifully! Also have you noticed the wind up key sticking out of the lower back of the castle , wind it up for the music!
I too was confused with No instructions!

    Congrats on the purchase!

I haven't seen the Castle. It must be beautiful.

While in the Disneyana store last week (numerous times), I was eyeing the TomorrowLand big-fig. Alas, we left with none.

    There's always our Easter trip!

    Enjoy!

Wolfette found the fricking switch...of course! Now the music box part of it doesn't work right......Think Wolfman might have had something to do with that last night when he was putting it together! He broke off Tink's wings also, but I fixed that part.

Re: Just bought the Big Fig Castle...

I am glad you got it together, I was sort of fustrated that something so costly would not have instructions. I have recieved other Disney items eg: Elliott from MSEP WDCC collection that had specific instructs even as to where not to grab the mdse for it was delicate. And even some of the packaging on old Big Figs stating how to remove from packaging and what areas not to pull out of the styrofoam by.
I recieved mine from my dd and son in law for my 50th b'day and didnt unpackage it till I was back home , I just kept hoping that all was intact and nothing was wrong with it, To get the batteries in I had to lay on a cushion with upper turrents propped and padded by throw pillows to tip to get to the battery compartment.

Re: Just bought the Big Fig Castle...

omg! it's so funny you ask that question!!!!

I got the Big Fig Castle back in July, and was
so excited to get it out of the box at home.

In my pursuit to install the batteries, and the
lack of instructions, I began to unscrew what
appeared to be the battery compartment, only
to discover that the were the the screws that
held the music box and it's key in place. UGGGGHH!!!

It was a bear to rescrew the loose music box
back in place inside the castle UUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

For the light switches (yes, there are 2 separate switches)
They are on either side of the castle, just below the Square Trees.

As you are looking at the front of the castle, the switch on the
left side lights the blue lights on the top part of the castle.

The switch on the right side of the castle is for the lights in the
castle turrets and the two lanterns on the front of the castle.

Thanks for telling me about the 2 switches, had only found the 1!!!! Now it truly is beautiful all lit up!!!

Cost - $275.00, but I had my 20% AP Discount Coupon, so that helped a bit!
