Cool The Official Final Four Thread

Well now that the Final Four has been set the question must be asked. Who ya rootin' for?

I gotta pull for the "Little Team That could" George Mason. Getting thus far is such a fantastic story. Wouldn't it be something if they won the whole darn thing?

I will admit that an all SEC Championship game would be pretty neat. I'll take that if George Mason does not make it to that game.

    UCLA.
    When in Rome...
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

George Mason? Wasn't that a character in season 2 of 24?

George Mason is the team of destiny. Think 2002 Angels or 1984 US Hockey team.

    UCLA is my favorite team.

If UCLA wins, I might pull off a March Madness type come from behind win in our pool.

Guess I'm pullin' for UCLA, by George (lol)

    Though LSU looks very tough...

    GO BRUINS.

The Bruins are up by 10 early in the first half. Rod Serling is going to walk out onto the court any minute now.

Ugh. After a very exciting tourney thus far the two games last night were quite boring. Two blowouts. Can anyone say "Big Letdown?"

Guess we got spoiled over the past few weeks LOL

I will, officially, now. But no excuses. The Bruins were beaten by a very talented Florida team that played a nearly flawless game. Congratulations to the Gators. And even though UCLA lost, it is apparent that Ben Howland and his staff have restored the program to national prominence...and they will have a good returning group. They had a nice run, and just came up short.

I confess I didn't know much about the Noah kid from Florida before the tournament. I think everybody in hoops knows about him now. WOW!

To any of our Florida MC friends in the Gainesville area...or to Gator fans anywhere...CONGRATULATIOBS.

And it seems to me for several years now the real excitement of the tournament has been in the earlier rounds....

UCLA loses and Coach Wooden is in the hospital. Bad day for the Bruins.

Re: The Official Final Four Thread

Not supposedly serious for Wooden though - although anytime you're 94 and going to the hospital, its touchy. My prayers are with he and his family - He is quite simply one of the classiest and finest men, ever IMHO.

As somebody who has had the distinct pleasure to meet coach Wooden on more than one occasion, I hope he recovers well. One of the nicest people you could EVER want to meet.
