Lightbulb A New Way to Surf MiceChat

That's right, I've made a new way to surf MiceChat, which I aptly call MiceChat Surf.

Basically, it's a split screen, which allows you to surf MiceChat and look at the homepage at the same time. That way, you'll aways be aware of the lastest postings and threads. It comes in two flavors:

    MiceChat Surf
    - This is a split screen, with the MiceChat homepage on the top, and MiceChat again on the bottom. The top half reloads every 15 seconds, so you can see the latest postings and threads while surfing other parts of the board.

    MiceChat Surf

MiceChat Surf Live! - As you might infer, this is similar to MiceChat surf, but on the bottom is MiceChat Live!, allowing you to surf MiceChat without losing track of MiceChat Live! The top half does not reload every 15 seconds, because that would keep dragging you back to the homepage.

    MiceChat Surf Live!

MiceChat Surf 2.0 - This is the same as MiceChat Surf, but the top half of the page does not reload, allowing you to surf two threads or forums at the same time. You can not do this in MiceChat Surf, because the reloading feature will drag you back to the home page every time it reloads.

    MiceChat Surf 2.0

Well, there you have it. What do you think? Enjoy!

Um... Great job, but isn't it easier to just have to windows and switch back and forth?

Well yes, and it's even easier to have FireFox and use tabbed browsing, but hey, it's just for fun. You can multitask.

This is exactly what I needed for the User restores.
Now I can have the SQL query window on the bottom, and the User Creation on the top.

Although, the problem is that the top window, which reloads, will automaticaly drag you back to the homepage every time it reloads. Hang on a sec...

Tis very nicely done - strange to chat in real time rather than in posts though!

Relax, I got it. I have the bottom source the New User AdminCP, and the Bottom the SQL entry screen.

Ok, here's the third version, which does not have the reload feature:

    MiceChat Surf 2.0

Of course this new way does mean one less window I have to have open.

Oh, BTW, if you have any suggestions for improvements, or if the pages don't display properly, post it here and I'll try and fix it. It certainly takes a bit of getting used to, but it's more of an experiment.

    Thanks!
