    Fullerton Residents

Okay, I'm feeling a little nostalgic - I just found a photo album of when I lived in Fullerton (1976-78) and attended Raymond Elementary School - I lived on North Kroger.

Anyone else go to Raymond? Just curious.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

I went to Carden Country Day School - the school changed its name and went to Yorba Linda, and the old building currently houses and Dentist's office and a furniture store. It's across the street from the Target on Placentia Ave.

    Re: Fullerton Residents

I never lived in Fullerton, but I did take a couple of classes at Fullerton College, and spent some of the best years of my life (while working at DL) at Cal State Fullerton (If only they had something like a Starbucks at the corner of State College and Chapman in those days!)

One of my life-long pals still owns a rubber stamp business on Commonwealth, between Brookhust and Euclid near where the big Hunt-Wesson plant (I think) used to be. Back in the day when the weather was warm it smelled like stewed tomatoes.

And lately he's been part of a group working to save the historic Fox Theater on Harbor Blvd downtown.
So I never attended Raymond, but I know a thing or two about Fullerton.

    Thank you,

    Barry

I went to kindergarten and 1st grade at Raymond. We were living on Dorothy Lane at the time.

I grew up in Glendora. I used to love that small town, but going back just makes me feel depressed now. I don't know why.

About the closest I've gotten to Fullerton is the Brea Mall Nordstrom and ice rink. They do still have an ice rink at the Brea Mall, don't they?

I'm assuming Brea is near Fullerton.

La Mirada is as far as I've gone in the other direction.....the La Mirada Marshalls on Imperial Highway.

Is that sort of Fullerton-ish adjacent?????

Not for about the last 20 years.

    Re: Fullerton Residents

I was born in Fullerton at St. Jude Hospital. My family and I lived in Fullerton(1973-75), then La Mirada(1975-77), then Buena Park(1977-79), then La Mirada (1978-81), then Fullerton on Commonwealth across the street from the municipal airport(1981-1984). I went to Valencia Park School during second grade, then went to Pacific Drive School (Still don't know where that place used to be) for third and part of fourth.

Thanks all! Glad to hear there's another Racoon out there. My dad worked as a dance professor at Cal State Fullerton for a few years. I wish we could have stayed there - oh well, I like Idaho too.

My favorite memory is when my brother rode his big wheel to the Alpha Beta and stopped traffic in the middle of the intersection.

If anyone knows Kimberly McIntosh - I'd love to get in touch with her again. I know her parents still live there.

    Re: Fullerton Residents

Don't and haven't lived there, but I like it well enough that I have a business idea I'd place there (if I had the money to do it, which I don't, by a long shot).

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
